It is called the option..... It has never been seen before in college football.... It consists on the quarterback having the "option" to run with the ball, or pitch the ball to someone else.. The bulldog defense has seen tape of running quarterbacks before, but admitted that they had never seen this pitch before.

But in fairness, the option is a difficult thing to deal with. Its a talent equalizer. that's why the academies run it.
If you don't practice against it a lot, you will have trouble.

Have given a whole 31 pts, TOTAL, vs. those three.

Tx St also used a "forward pass" that seemed to give the defense trouble (particularly the back 5). Now that we've seen it, I'm sure Spangs will have them ready for Utah St.
Jokes aside, I expect them to step up next week.
You need speed, sound tackling, and assignment D to control the option attack or scrambling qb..............I think i know our weakness
