Anyone hearing that WKU is about to be added to CUSA? A thread on the SunBelt board says that they are gone. If its true, I guess Tulsa is about to leave for the BE.

Tulsa is about to leave for the BE, but hopefully to be replaced by New Mexico State. Those are the two considered to be "on deck". There is a thread about that elsewhere on here. Should be in the title (can't look it up easily on my phone while feeding the baby).
Just read the thread. Lots of delusion going on over there. The substantiation on the rumor seems week. The story doesn't make sense. Could be true, though.
this kind of move makes no sense right now.
wait 2 months for the ACC-MD lawsuit to settle. figure out what happens to the ACC/Big East, THEN act. you don't know who will be available/looking for better homes.
step 1 - B1G takes UNC+UVA from ACC
step 2 - SEC takes NCSU+VT from ACC
step 3 - Big 12 takes FSU+UM+GT+CU from ACC
ACC is left with WF, Duke, UL, Pitt, 'Cuse, and BC
those 6 ravage CUSA, i mean the Big East (again) and add Cincy, UConn, Temple, USF, UCF, and Navy (to get a share of that Army-Navy game $$$)
Big East is left with Memphis, Tulane, ECU, SMU, and Houston.
they have to start adding more CUSA buddies and things cascade from there.
i don't think the BE will make a move until one of the bigger conferences starts taking from ACC
...and C-USA has to backfill ahead of time. Not sure if/when they'll get Western and NMSU, but they get them to play defense vs. Benson and the Sunbelt.Quote:
