And how in the hell did our Kicker get Honorable Mention? Our Special Teams are horrible...

How does this list compare to the pre season list?

Diaz has said all season that the defense was set up to function as a team and not for individual achievements. It has worked wonderfully and our team has benefitted greatly for it.

It is a shame more weren't recognized individually but we all know that our guys know how to perform their roles and not miss their assignments! Great things have happened all season because of each and every one of them - kudos to EVERY PLAYER who stepped onto the defensive side of the ball this year!!!

Definitely should have been more from the D side.

How come you never post anymore?

Lots of all-conference honors went to players in the eastern division. Could it be the uneven divisions had something to do with that? (More votes from the eastern teams for the eastern division players?)

Great point.

Cato had this won before the season began. Doughty had second team won before the season began.

Tech's defense exposed both of them. Neither will play in the league.

So? The point of an all-conference team is to recognize players who had an outstanding season.

It doesn't, but it lends to my point that D80 and Diaz' plan to beat those QBs worked and exposed them for not being as good as advertised.

Screw that. I want Tech to be playing GOOD teams with GOOD players.

Questioning the strength of our opponents (and their players) only serves to undermine both Tech's wins and losses.

Are you one of the ones who chant "OVER-RATED" whenever Tech takes the lead angainst a top team? (Like when we pulled ahead of a ranked Fresno in 2004?). Because tearing down the athleticism of the other team's players is, from my perspective, really no different.
