Will Louisiana Tech "blowout" SoMiss in MS for the second time in History?

The Rivalry in Dixie has mainly been one-sided in wins by more than 20 (Louisiana Tech 4 [1935; 1949, 1970, 2013], USM 11). Total series is 15 Tech to 32 SoMiss.

Only win with a "blowout" score in MS was 1970 with a score of 27-6 for Louisiana Tech.

In 2013, Rice embarrassed Louisiana Tech at Rice. In 2014, Louisiana Tech returned the favor to win the division.

In 2015, SoMiss embarrassed Louisiana Tech with the blowout score. In 2016, I predict Louisiana Tech will return the favor, as Holtz did to Rice.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. We definitely are not the same team from the beginning of the year, but the team does always seem to have one surprise game every year and I hope it is against y'all.

Since Tech hired a Southern Miss assistant in 1967 (Maxie Lambright), we have played USM 21 times. Interestingly, we have done better in Hattiesburg (6-6) than in Ruston (3-6).

Meh, Nevada and Louisiana Tech played football every year. Besides the men's basketball situation (we've beat them with the women's), I would say we need to play them a few more times before we label it that way.

Louisville would be a great addition! Certainly would improve our quality of play and perception in every single varsity sport.

Would be the best thing to solve many problems with conference realignment and how champions are selected for regular season and post-season.

Too bad all the major power in college sports would never allow it.
