Homer 1-A state champions.
The Homer Pelicans have gotten their first state championship in 80+ years, with head coach Richie Casey, a former Bulldog. I have the pleasure of knowing Richie personally and I'm really glad for him.

Congratulations to the Pels.
Re: Homer 1-A state champions.
Just finished watching the 3A game. Trey Holly is the real deal. I wish we could somehow land him in Ruston. The player of the game was the kicker from Sterlington, Jacob Green, and he’s another one that I wish we would offer. He kicked two 45+ yard FGs no problem, and has been doing it all year. He’s also a really good and smart kid.

Said the same thing about Holley on another thread—he is special.

Way to go Pel's. First state championship title for Homer since 1939. 82 years. Wow.
Congrats to Richie Casey.
