The Ruston (boys team) has a decent chance to win Indoor State this year. They won indoor two years ago and outdoor last year. The meet is Saturday (Feb. 19). My son is running in two events! :D

Ruston's boys and girls Indoor track teams won the LHSAA state meet this past Saturday. It came down to the final race for the boys as Ruston had a 3 point lead over Catholic High going into the last event (51 - 48). The 4x400 was close with Catholic winning (3:26.46) and Ruston taking second (3:26.77). Catholic received 10 points for winning that race and Ruston took home 8 for second. After 14 events, the final tally was Ruston 59, Catholic BR 58. Super proud father moment as my son was the first leg in that race. :)
Ruston's 4x400 time broke the school record by 2 seconds. Another notable achievement was that BJ Green (of Ruston) broke the state Triple Jump record that was set in 1988.
