Go Dawgs! Let’s get back to the best version of who we can be. Pitch commandingly, defend flawlessly and hit the ball squarely!

5 game weeks are tough. We had one a couple of weeks ago.

Because of the pandemic and then the rebuild delaying the opening of our stadium by a few weeks, this is the first time we've hosted the Cajuns since 2019.
Which means this is the first time in close to 30 years we've hosted the Cajuns without the late Tony Robichaux as its leader.
Great baseball coach but even better leader.

Rivalry and name misidentification aside, you have to respect what Robichaux built at ULL.

A group of fans had a discussion about this at Tech's series with FIU. It was more about the off the field stuff. Devout Christian who led a Christian life.

Second, and last chance, to make hay this season. Blew it by going 1-3 vs. quality opposition, and now have to pretty much run the table, well, really, the rest of the way. But this homestand is a good place to start. Failure now removes the possibility of this being a special year.

Top 4 remains the same (shouldn't have). Myers at DH in the 5 hole. Corona down to 6. Brantley at 1B batting 7th. Martinez starting.

Odds are Brantley won’t make it through the game without being pulled for either not playing his position well or a lack of hitting anything. I’m surprised Burroughs didn’t shuffle the top 4 batting order in some kind of way just to reset the guys’ brains. We all know they’re capable. They just need to be ball players.

Martinez opens with a strikeout.
Soft pop on a bounce to McLeod with a nice pick by Brantley.
Strikeout. Easy 1st for Martinez.
Young flies to center. Not out of it yet.
McConnell watches strike three. Not out of it yet either.
Netterville hit on top of the batting helmet.
Matulia grounds a single to right. Netterville moves to third.
Matulia moves to second on a wild pitch.
Myers walks to load the bases.
Mound visit for the Cajuns.
Corona strikes out on 3 pitches.
0-0 after 1.

Corona is not going to see a fastball all night

Most Tech batters shouldn't see one. Should be changeups with the fastball as the exception. Until Tech learns how to hit instead of just bat, that should be the gameplan.

Popup to McLeod.
Fly to Matulia.
Strikeout #3 for Martinez.
Brantley flies to right.
McLeod flies to left.
Elliott flies to left.
0-0 after 2.

Corona has never seen a pitch he doesn’t like
