Hate to see La Tech this bad
As a Southern Miss fan, I always appreciated our rivalry with La Tech. Also appreciated the history of LaTech football. I cheered for you guys when you beat Alabama in 1999.
I really never understood why so many of you hated Holtz so much. If I'm not mistaken he had you guys winning 9 games in 2014,2015 and 2016. What 8 wins in 2017 and 10 in 2019.
I know his last team went 3-9 but if I'm not mistaken you guys lost 4 or 5 games by one possession.

Holtz is like Tech’s Jeff Bower… always respectable, but never dominant. 2nd and 3rd place gets boring after a while.

Tech actually did the right thing in the fact that we wanted more than what Skip was providing, but man we Tech'ed up the replacement hire big time.

The momentum in the world these days seems to be putting the worst imaginable and most incompetent people in charge. From the top down and through out the chain of command the people responsible seem to get increasingly stupider. Case in point as it relates to Tech was Guice’s upper level bad decision making by allowing Tech and its conference affiliations to get weaker and weaker year by year until there came the point when the bottom fell out as if it was a complete surprise. It’s very much like how a sink hole suddenly forms underfoot to consume everything above it. That’s exactly what’s happening with the Tech athletics program. After Guice was Wood who just fell in line making his own stupid decisions which is highlighted most by hiring Cumbie. And then there’s Cumbie himself who is so obviously overwhelmed by his job that it’s even impacting the stupid things he says and does away from the actual game itself. All we can hope for is that Henderson will turn this idiocracy trend around.

Our AD is getting the calls to fire him. Will he act or will he continue to stay in hiding?

There's plenty of good coaches out there to hire. LA Tech just needs someone that knows something about football to hire 'em. Apparently Dr Wood was getting his nails polished at the time of this hiring.

New Mexico St got one with head coaching experience. And paid him less than Tech is paying Cumbie.

As crappy as we pay generally, there are a lot of coaches making less than Crumbie and his staff that are wayyyyyy better. Hell, a couple of them whipped our ass this season already!!
