Switch SHSU & Liberty

So I need Wednesday tix for second session. Weather permitting Dawgs play at 4:00pm ish.

No single session tickets available yet although the prices have been posted for a few days.

Middle Tennessee holds off Dallas Baptist to win 8-5 making Tech the sole CUSA regular season champion. No more tie breaker #1.

DBU will win their side of the bracket and advance to the championship game. I expect Tech to be there too. If we're not, it'll be SHSU. I betcha they all make sure to touch the plate on HRs.

As of yesterday Tech had an RPI of 27 and DBU was at 21.

Right now the weather doesn’t look great from 2-8pm on Wednesday. Hopefully games 1 & 2 can complete in that time. Then Tech starts around 8pm. That would probably push G4 to Thursday & G8 to Friday. But Thursday doesn’t look good either. Does anyone know of the contingencies?

We gotta win some games this week. Going 0-2 will probably knock us out of the NCAAs. Of course, anything short of the auto-bid means we may not be in. For instance, I know they are Homers, SEC homers in this case (the worst kind) but I'm watching the Ole Miss-Moo State game, and they are saying if Ole Miss gets above .500, and that will take winning 3 times in the SEC tournament, they are in the playoffs. According to them LSU has definitely punched their ticket with the win over UGA today. Yep, most likely.

Both ULL and USM are ranked in the Top 25. Tech has never been ranked and DBU seems to have completely disappeared from the rankings, even while sitting on 40 wins. CUSA gets no respect (and perhaps that is justified) and that scares me come selection time. All Ole Miss has to do is finish one game above .500 and they're in!? Probably true. We need a bunch of bubble teams to lose this week, and we need to get some wins.

Wow! so much for the Rebs, a two-out walk-off HR wins it for Moo State in the 9th! For 8 2/3 innings Moo State could do nothing with Ole Miss pitching, were being shutout, then bam! Thanks Moo State Dogs.
