Rest of the Way 2024 Season

I have seen enough of Tech and the opponents remaining on our schedule to say, a "good" Tech team would finish 8-4. That's not going to happen with Crummy as coach.

CUSA sucks! I mean, this conference is not just bad, it is horrible! Easily the worst FBS league, and it's not even close. We used to compete with the MAC for the cellar, but those guys are on the steps out of the cellar, and we're still hugging the floor. This is why, with 8 CUSA games to play yet, I think we SHOULD finish 8-4. No accomplishment, it would just be a matter of not sucking as bad as our CUSA opponents. (I am still liking our defense, gives me a slimmer of hope). But, Crummy is the worst coach in the league, by far, and he'll nullify any chance the team might have had of a winning season.

Tulsa sucks, gives me a little hope of picking up a win there. Arkansas sucks too, but we just can't beat a P5 in the regular season, no matter how bad they are. Dykes is the last coach to record a regular season P5 win, back in 2012.

I saw coach Crumble on local TV today talking about momentum… like how Tech had it to end the first half of Saturday’s game and never sniffed it again the rest of the game except for what was coming off the NCS team. So now with our dissipated feel of momentum gone I wonder what Crumble is going to pull out of his Holtz’s play-calling bag of tricks for Saturday. I swear Holtz left his sad ass playbook behind and Crumble found it.

It's very simple -

The next two games will decide the season and Cumbie's future -

Go 0-2 and it's over

Go 1-1 and it's still on life support

Go 2-0 and he will in all likelihood salvage the season and go to a bowl

It’s over, couple of us were actually not that upset about losing tonight. I’m sad to say, I have already lost interest and am hopeful we have a short list of coaches who might be dumb enough to come here.

Can you say 1-11? Well, actually, as horrific as CUSA is, 3-9 remains a possibility. Have 8 games vs. the weakest conference in the nation, so there is some hope of winning a couple more. I hope Crummy has been fired before Halloween.

I know it's for the best for this team to get pummeled leading to the dismissal of the absolutely worst coach in Tech history. I just can't bring myself to root against the Dawgs. Like last night, I was hoping for the best. But as that FG went through the uprights and Crummy had lost again, I didn't sulk over the "L" but immediately thought, "another nail in his coffin." Good riddance.

Believe it or not 4-8 is possible unless of course the team quits on Crumbie which is entirely possible. I’d be surprised if Turner cares much after how he’s been yo-yo’d by Crumbie. Of course he could still give his best for his next year’s portal prospects. I can’t imagine him staying another year to play for this pathetic program. Last night Crumbie said Baker would be out 4 weeks so there goes our 2nd QB. Anything Crumbie is responsible for fails. He’s proven who he is and what he’s capable of. Jech absolutely has to make to bite the bullet and make a change going into next season.
