House of the Dead- Dostoevsky, now, definitely not my favorite.
Favorite would have to be Catcher in the Rye-Salinger. I know they are just classics but they are good.
Reading a book on the the Korean War (title escapes me - only 10 pages into it)
Favorite - Last of the Breed by Louis L'Amour

Just finished *The Divine Conspiracy* by Dallas Willard. Not light reading, but very pertinent message on the importance of discipleship.
Also reading *Wizard and Glass* by Stephen King (book 4 of the Dark Tower series) Highly recommend this series -- it's not typical King. He describes it as Lord of the Rings meets The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. Hard to put down.
A couple of business books: *Working with Emotional Intelligence* by Goleman has some nice insights on working with people. *The Witch Doctors* by a couple of guys from the Economist (currently reading) is an interesting read about the multitude of "management gurus" out there today. Also *If Aristotle Ran General Motors* is pretty good -- using it as bathroom reading.
Two history books I got for Christmas *His Excellency* about George Washington is a nice, brief biography. Not overly insightful, but a great read and a good introduction to the real man if your only knowledge is the school books. Also, *A Leap in the Dark* is a good telling of 50 years that spanned from the first attempt to unite the colonies to fight the French to Jefferson's inauguration. Good book and rather insightful about the founding period.

just started The Pilgrim's Regress by c.s. lewis
favorite non-fiction Mere Christianity also by lewis
favorite fiction is a pretty tight race, but i would probably go with either mark twain's Huckleberry Finn, or Farenheit 451 by ray bradbury.
p.s. after i finish pilgrim's regress, i will probably pick up jonathan swift's Gulliver's Travels, which may become my new favorite fiction.
of course, i'm also very fond of The Very Hungry Caterpillar (author's name escapes me), dr. seuss' One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and shel silverstein's Falling Up.
Last Book: The Drowning Tree by Carol Goodman
Favorite Book: Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell
