RUSTON*– Louisiana Tech football returns to Joe Aillet Stadium for its final home game of the season, hosting the Kennesaw State Owl for senior day on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. A win would give the Bulldogs their fourth home win of the season, the most at Joe Aillet stadium since 2019. The Bulldogs enter Saturday's matchup with a 4-7 (3-4 CUSA) record after falling to Arkansas on the road. LA Tech finished its road schedule with a 1-5 record, while they are 3-2 at home. Kennesaw State comes into the season finale with a 2-9 (2-5 CUSA) record, as they remain winless on the road at 0-5.

Probably the worst senior class, in terms of overall W-L record, in Tech history. Any player in a Tech uniform today, a senior, having been here for four years, has a whopping total of just 13 wins over the four years. This is it. Last game ever in a Tech uniform (maybe something they are thankful for :icon_roll:) and so the question is, Mr. Senior, how do you go out? You know the Kennesaw seniors are salivating at the idea of getting a road win, something that has eluded them this season. I bet KSU is focused and ready to end this lousy season on a winning note.
Today's game, the effort, the focus, will reveal the true character of the players and the coaches.
Go Dawgs!

Of the 24 Tech players I identified as possible graduates being either a redshirt senior, senior or and graduate I only see 4 who have been at Tech and only Tech in their whole college careers (Cedric Woods, Jerren Gilbert, Bert Hale & Mykol Clark). That’s probably not too unusual in the portal era but it’s pretty sad. I think the main thing is that Tech will probably never have another player make even the school’s hall of fame much less a national one. This reminds me that Tom Hinton and Matt Dunigan (CFL) need to be honored in the same way as Tech’s NFL hall of famers have been because like I’ve said there won’t be any more.

Tech up 17-0 at halftime.
Keep it going.

A safety and a TD in the third quarter makes it 26-0 Tech. One more quarter to hang on.

He’s not wrong though. Anybody we recruit that is really good won’t stay more than a year or two and they’ll be gone.

I think HogDawg is right. I think they keep Crumble.
too high a buyout, too much unknown.
I’m sure attendance will plummet, but I’m not sure anyone cares about College Football anymore.
Re: Preview: LA Tech vs. Kennesaw - latechsports.com
College football is dead - even when talking to big school fans, the love of the game, the game day excitement, etc is all gone. We have minor league football now….and minor league sports suck for the most part.
In the end, you will have about 20 major college athletic programs in their own super conference. The rest of us will have to figure it out on our own.
