Re: Blessing in disguise??
if all stay, i'd like to see millsap vs. big baby. i think big baby may be a bit better, but if thomas didn't have his back it would be a heck of a match up.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
Can't talk myself into pulling for lswho to win an ugly dog contest much less an NCAA title. They have looked pretty good though, men and women. Great time for their students and alum and all of the bandwagon, red-neck, illiterate masses that the aforesaid students and alum couldn't care less about. Bad time for those in the state who have the capacity to think for themselves.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
Thomas can't go in to the NBA until after his Junior year. The NBA started a rule after last years draft similar to that of the NFL that doen't allow players to enter the draft until 3 years after they get out of high school.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
There is a 19 year old age limit to go to the NBA.

John Brady was interviewed on CBS, he said that:
1. LSU IS Louisiana
2. All college students, even those that attend other schools, support LSU.
And, some other crapola. I'm sure Brady believes that.
As for me, I didn't care, but now I am back to rooting against lspoo after Brady's asinine statements.

wow, people associated with lsu are as dumb as I expected, what a moron. You think we could convince someone that osama is hiding on the campus of LSU and we need to bomb it?

the rule is that you have to be 19 and one year removed from high school. thomas is both, since he is a redshirt freshman.
i also think that for the most part Brady is right. most schools in the state have student bodies that support LSU as LSU fans support Tech. Tech appears to be the only one with a grudge. it was there when i was in college at Tech.

I don't know where you get the idea that Tech is the only one with a grudge. All state schools have a "grudge" as well. Sure there are kids that cheer for LSU at Tech but it isn't like Tech fans become LSU fans just because we are in the same state as Brady tries to make things seem.

I hope--or wish--that Karl Malone will be interviewed in the next few days and that somebody will ask him about this. And I hope I can trust that his answer will be very satisfying.
Re: Blessing in disguise??
And another thing is I don't know where anybody gets this idea that LSU supports Tech. Sure LSU fans may cheer for us when we beat SIU in basketball or Fresno in football but in all honesty LSU wants NO competition in state. They are a little full of themselves right now because they have won a national championship in football in the past 5 years so when they start to fall back down to earth we will see how they really feel. The one thing LSU will not be able to take is a serious recruiting rival for North LA.

Maybe theres more of a grudge at Tech because we're the only ones who believe we can compete with LSU-we see them more as a rival, others see them as being out of their league
Re: Blessing in disguise??
I thought it was just because LSU sucks?
Re: Blessing in disguise??
Ask ulala people how much they love lswho. I think their bitterness runs even deeper than ours.
