CUSA baseball tourney was taken from DBU and given to KSU

I guess they'll blame the timing for not doing this to USM?
If you can't host a tourney once you announce you're leaving, then you shouldn't be able to host a tourney. If you can, you can and they should just let them play out where they've been awarded (and if they want to reduce having lame-duck hosts, tighten up on how far out they award the tournaments).
The same should be true for being out of compliance or membership being in doubt like when UAB hosted the basketball tournament while still deciding whether to bring football back (or technically having decided to drop football).
I didn't like it way back when the SB pulled the WWB tourney after we announced we were going to the WAC. Seemed like cutting your nose off to spite your face (given that we were the biggest WBB draw and playing for a NCAA seed). But if you're going to have that be the policy just make it the policy and stick to it evenly.

2022./2023 UNT hosted Cross Country, Outdoor Track & Field and Women's Tennis
2023 UAB hosted Indoor Track & Field
2022 Charlotte hosted Women's Soccer
2022 UTSA hosted Football
of the 15 CUSA championships, 8 were hosted by schools leaving for AAC. 7 of those were predetermined.

And we argued at the time that UAB shuttering football was essentially notice that they were leaving (since the by-laws require football) and they still got to keep a basketball tournament.
If it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. Fine.
If it does, set the parameters and do that. Fine.
But was there a rule change here? Did we all vote to change the policy on this stuff after not having one in 21/22? I guess I could see that being the issue.
Were we set to host anything this year? Soccer or something?

USM in baseball was 2022. They had already announced they were leaving 10/27/2021. They hosted May 2022 tournament. They left after 2023 season. The schools that left for AAC all announced in October of 2021 but still kept their 2022-2023 hosting duties. Rice hosted 2023 Baseball tourney in May before leaving July 1st.

This is on our president (previous and present) along with our AD (previous and present). When asked about it they praised Judy and what a great job she has done.
