If there is a weakness...
You have to say LSU is pedestrian at the linebacker position. I haven't been impressed with any of them except Beckwith and he's not playing on Saturday. So, if we can get past the DL, we could have some success running the ball.
Apart from their head coach, I think LSU's linebackers are their only deficiency. If you want to read something funny, read Miles' comments regarding Beckwith. Not to be too condescending but, in my experience, if anybody goes by "the hat" or "the man with the hat", that's a pretty good sign they're not too sharp.
Re: If there is a weakness...
BTW, the "man in the hat" reference relates to my perception of Shreveport attorney--Kirby Kelly--not Robken. Although, I wish Robken would not blow his whistle into the mike while leading the band.

Robken doesn't have a whistle that was most likely a Drum Major that didn't realize the mic was on. Link to comments on Beckwith?
Re: If there is a weakness...
I don't know if LSU has any weakness. I mean they played amazing defense on Saturday against Bama (or atleast that is what my friend keeps telling me. Imagine how many points Bama would score if they were playing bad defense.
Actually though boxer I would call their QB a weakness too. I have been told a few times this year by different people (including 1 anti-Miles/anti-Flynn LSU fan) that Zac is a better QB than Flynn. Flynn just has more weapons around him. Even so as long as we pressure him, Flynn will make some mistakes that can keep us in the game if our offense isn't clicking from the beginning.

From my observations, Zac is not even close making some of the throws Flynn has made. Champion doesn't have pocket composure. That's why you rarely see him completing passes downfield. As soon as he feels pressure, he completely loses focus. At least Matt will stand in there and make the throw (and take the hit).

Zac has improved but let's not get carried away.

Hey I am not the one saying it. I have not seen Flynn play because I could careless about watching EBRCP play. I still think Flynn is a weakness from what I hear of him from their fans.
Re: If there is a weakness...
I am a big Zac basher, but give him the time that Flynn has and I don't think he would do any worse. How well did Flynn play against Tulane when he was on his back most of the game. Now he knows how Zac felt earlier in the season. I don't think there is any doubt that LSU will win, but it won't be because of Flynn. My only hope is that Favorite has another rap concert this week so Perilloux can beat on some students. Without Perrilloux we have a chance to keep it respectable.
Re: If there is a weakness...
Their receivers are not that good. They are fast, but they drop as many or more passes as us. But, Doucet will be healthy against us and he will be playing on Sundays.
Re: If there is a weakness...
As far as their linebackers go, I agree that Sanders is not great, but I think Highsmith is ranked in the top 20 of all seniors in college football. So, someone out there thinks that he must be pretty good.
Re: If there is a weakness...
I don't know how healthy Doucet really is. I have seen the last td he scored several times and he looked gimpy to me as he was running the last 20 yds. He may not be 100% yet. Nevertheless, the deep ball scares me against pooville.
Re: If there is a weakness...
plug one of two weapons on their offense, it all but stalls... plug dorsey and the other guy whom I can't name and the d is vulnerable for Zac's short passes he throws, and if the recievers hold on to the ball, make a good gain. being what it is , 4 yards is all you need per play (there I changed it from 3!)

I've only seen 3 of their games. It seems to me like the defense gets a little bit worse every game.
