Memphis more than likely

My insider just told me that Memphis is more than likely the opponent for the Indy Bowl. He just dropped by my office.
USM accepted the bowl invite to the NO bowl. Leaves us w/ Memphis, NC State reallistic.
I may be 100% wrong, however I think barring unforseen circumstances It will be Memphis. That would be a good thing I think. Beating a CUSA opponent will be good for the program!
I also know that Ticket Sales are over yesterdays. They can't keep up... Wow, What a problem to have.

They just do not want to extend their bowl losing streak, especially to another Louisiana school in Louisiana!! Make no mistake, TECH would win that game!!!!!!!

How did your insider say this would happen? CUSA has just enough teams to fill their bowl affiliations. Unless one of the CUSA bowls gives up their team, Memphis would be required to fill one of those slots (most likely GMAC).

I know that ESPN has been working to create a Boise State / Ball State matchup but that has not come to pass. I think your "insider" was assuming the GMAC bowl would provide the stage for that match up which would indeed free up a CUSA team.

He said that losing USM to the NO Bowl has put Memphis as the frontrunner.

I just called to get 6 more tickets for the bowl and they told me the chairbacks are sold out. Also, some girl (or lady) that I have never talked to answered the phone. Sounds like they brought in some reinforcements.

My cab driver said Memphis as well

You've got a dang good Cab Driver! I know that they brought in 2 extra people for tickets.
