What if no one played Boise
I know this will not happen, but since Boise decided to bail on the WAC, what if all the WAC schools decided not to play them this year? They may get the forfeit and be bowl eligible, but there is no way they could get to a BCS game this coming year.
Personally I would rather see us pound them
Re: What if no one played Boise
I want to beat them not forfeit to them.
Re: What if no one played Boise
That wouldn't really be fair to those BSU seniors.
Re: What if no one played Boise
While I am not happy that Boise is leaving, I cannot blame them.
This is an opportunity that they could not pass up.
I think they might have jumped too early, but maybe not.
Re: What if no one played Boise
Not really sure what our motivation would be for doing that. Especially since under our dream scenario, we would be doing the exact same thing (leaving the conference).
Re: What if no one played Boise
They actually have a shot at a national title in the MWC. I think it would be great to play teams like Utah, BYU, TCU, and Air Force every year
Re: What if no one played Boise
Heck yeah, congrats to the Broncs. They have DONE what we want to do, and they've earned the "promotion." I don't hold any hard feelings about them going to the MWC. That said, I want us to send them out with a beat down they'll never forget...on the BLUE TURF no less!

Re: What if no one played Boise
Boise State fulfilled its obligation to the WAC to provide one year notice. The WAC Board of Directors (now without Boise State representation) must enforce WAC rules and distribute no conference revenues to Boise State for the 2010-2011 academic year. That should include all BC$ money should Boise State get a BC$ bid this year.
Boise newspaper has reported that Boise State would still get its 50% share of BC$ money for a BC$ bid...that would seem to violate WAC rules.
Beyond that Boise State is still a full WAC member and should be respected as such. And it should be beaten to a pulp between the lines at every opportunity by every other WAC member.

My feelings exactly. Good post.
Re: What if no one played Boise
Boise deserves the MWC bid. I actually think it is a good thing and am happy for them. That is a great league now.

That is odd....Wright Waters told me that if a team is leaving a conference you immediatly take away any championship games from that school's campus....then slander the school in the media.
Re: What if no one played Boise
Come on Easy....Not play them because they took an opportunity that we want as well. What if we would have been accepted to CUSA before they went to the MWC. I don't believe Boise would do such a thing. I want to play Boise St. every chance I get because they have been the model team to follow for 10 years now. Even though many teams don't beat them, playing Boise St. is a game that gets you nationally recognized even if it is on ESPN 2 for a tuesday night. You can't pass up on playing such an elite program as them.

Re: What if no one played Boise
Notice how Boise waited to make sure Utah and BYU weren't leaving.
