Conference USA's new TV contract is coming into focus and it will involve four different networks, including one that's never broadcast American football before.

I think beIN will be a good partner. I see them taking the place of FSN in our package. Also, their priority is European soccer, which airs early morning/afternoon here in the US, so we shouldn't have to worry about 11 a.m. kickoffs on that channel. I think they will be 3p/6p kickoffs

Hopefully I can get this channel on Uverse with their sports package.

AT&T U-verse: beIN SPORTS on CH. 1662 in HD

Notice that's HD. It's only a little extra a month but so is the sports package. Pretty soon you're close to $100/mo. for extras. I got the sports package so I could CBSSN and FSN. Can someone please tell me where our games are going to be?

They have the same beIN Sports channel in SD if you don't pay $10/mo for HD. Just drop the 1000 digit. 662.

We won't know which games will be on what channel until they officially release it.

For my fellow Comcast subscribers...

I've had the premium package channels for years, but never the sports package. beIN is not part of the premium package (twss?) I called comcast, got an american on the line, and added the sports package for $5/mo.

On Uverse you can do an add on like the sports package and cancel it after a month. That's what I will do when football season starts and cancel at the end of the season.

I was actually using the base ($20) +$5 to get it because that gave me ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU etc. $10 standalone is even better but I'll likely drop the $25 in the bucket to get the others as well.

I'm confused. Did the American sell you the goods or the beIN channel? And which channel?

Odu AD talking media rights. Lots of espn3 talk - hopefully mainly for olympic sports

Joking about the American voice. Comcast is working to get away from the foreign call centers. I still get them after hours, but have gotten well spoken Americans the past few times during business hours.

I went ahead and added the sports packaged that included beIN. I now pick up several more sports channels than i did before. Harness racing...gotta love that!
