The Other Guys. Started watching it with the wife the other night. After 30 minutes I went to bed. Almost as stupid as Quest for Fire.
Season of the Witch
This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Nicolas Cage could have at least attempted to do some sort of European accent and so could all the other actors. One guy sounded like he was from Boston.
The Eagle
Worth seeing, once it comes out on DVD/Internet. It had the potential to be really good, but fell flat, and quickly. It had very few good moments and has a sever case over over-acting. Channing Tatum just isn't a convincing period actor. Same with Donald Sutherland. Jamie Bell was pretty good though, advantage that he is British so his character is plausible and believable. Am going to fault bad camera and editing technique also for it not being more than 3 out of 5 stars.
Just another Hollywood flop in theatres right now. Had a great story base, but everything went wrong from there.
Unknown doesn't live up to the "hype". It is not the Bourne Identity meets Taken as it is being billed. Just like The Eagle, another great story told absolutely wrong. The main problem is that it drags on and on and on and waits too long to get to anything of substance, then loses it.
Was not impressed by Hot Tub Time Machine.
Better than Step Brothers, worse than Couple's Retreat, miles below Date Night among comedies we've watched lately.
I think the only part we liked was when Craig Robinson sang.
Wow, where to start.
Couples Retreat is one of the five worst comedies I've ever seen. Step Brothers is probably the 2nd or 3rd funniest movie of the 2000's.
Hot Tub Time Machine was ok enough. Pretty run of the mill, too many f bombs.
How can you not like Step Brothers?! For real man.
Didn't laugh at all. I'm kind of past the "grown man acting like he's 9" genre. Which really rules out a huge chunk of the Sandler/Ferrell oeuvre.
Step Brothers was terrible.
I do like Mary Steenburgen, though, because she's from the NLR.
There wasn't much good about Couples Retreat, but even in its genericness it beats HTTM and SB (plus my friend was an extra).
Loved Date Night though.
+1
Love the beat laboratory.

Man, SB has a lot more depth than y'all are giving it credit for. Its one of those 'gets better every time you watch it' movies, like Big Lebowski or Grandma's Boy. I hated it the first time I saw it.
ETA: I just realized I start sentences with 'Man' like Hammacher Schlemmer starts sentences with 'The'
