I appreciate that. You are correct they never say why not. I think it is mostly a quantity issue (small school and fanbase), but I also wish our quality was better to make us more attractive. I will say this we may not have many fans but what we have are passionate. And, you are also correct that decision makers do not read message boards. I guess we agree on that and should probably just leave it there. I am new here and didn't know you guys rated people so harshly who have different opinions. I am a passionate person also and I think we are probably going to the Sun Belt. I think it will be very beneficial to us, my hope is we make the alliance, I just do not think it will happen. If you are correct and I am wrong I will be thrilled and will most absolutely tell you that you were correct. Please remind me.

Hey I am the first to admit it we have had a tough few months.
1. An 8th straight year of no big out of conference wins. 8 YEARS!
2. An sad attendance for our big bowl game. ULL had twice as many at their bowl game and they won!
3. No conference invite.
4. Horrible football recruiting class.
5. Karl getting b**** slapped by the Jazz. He really needs to keep his pie hole closed, even die-hard Tech fans need to admit that.
6. The AD wasting too much money from an already small budget!
Thank goodness Willie Roaf got into the hall!

Troll with 20+ posts per day, when you've been a member as long as I have (since 2003), your post total, at your current rate, would be over 80K. I say would because it's clear that you're a troll and not a fan. You'll be gone shortly, but I guess you're as good an off-season diversion as anything else today.
I've underlined above the posts that I was responding to. There were no qualifiers in those posts, they are just wrong. If you'd like me to respond to what you mean and not what you type, I suggest you start typing what you mean.
Have a nice day.
Re: What a month January should be!
Don't argue with idiots. They drag you down to there level and beat you with experience.
DepDawg looks like most on here have you pegged as a troll. Did you recently get banned from the cusa board? You have stated numerous times that you are new to this board but also stated that you are familiar with several other forum formats. Everyone knows this is the board for Tech athletics. Which boards are you familiar with and what has taken you so long to grace us with your presence or at least re-register under a new name.
If you went to Tech why not give some details as to grad year, degree pursued, teacher name, and who pissed in your wheaties.as to cut down on your doubters.

Go back and read your own post.

I admit I was misleading in my reply to those posts. Please look at my 3:03 post. Have you found the game we won against a non conference team with a winning record in the last 8 years? I wonder how many other teams can make such a claim?

I'm really only talking about the WAC though, since those are the teams that will be in the Alliance. Tech is 19-26 over the past 11 years against former WAC teams and CUSA teams that will be in the Alliance (Fresno, Nevada, Hawaii, Tulsa, Rice, UTEP, and Southern Miss), and has won 2 conference championships in that time. I don't know the basketball numbers, but we do OK against them in mens and very well in womens.
Tech is 29-6 in football against the Sun Belt teams and other WAC teams not in the Alliance.
That's why I say we are a notch above the others being considered.

Three more posts and your pace will have you a 100K posts in 8 years...with all that spare time, I'll let you do the research chief.

I did a little research:
In the past 8 years, Tech is 10-4 against non-BCS, non-ranked teams. Tech is 2-18 against BCS and ranked teams.
The 4 bad losses were to Army (14-7), Navy (twice), and Southern Miss (13-12). The 2 big wins were over Miss State and Ole Miss. The 18 losses were to Miami, Tennessee, Auburn (twice), Florida, Texas A&M (twice), Kansas (twice), Nebraska, Clemson, Cal, Ole Miss, LSU (twice), Mississippi State, #16 Southern Miss, and #18 Houston.

Yeah, but we haven't beat a non-conference team with a .500 or over record and a biped mascot on a Thursday with a new moon in our entire history...We should just quit...maybe the sunbelt will take us.

I edited to put who we have failed to beat out of conference. It's a freaking who's who of college football!
Re: What a month January should be!
Troll (Internet)
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted". While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."

Actually I have to go back to the office in the morning. Three day weekend. I have millions (you are likely included in that number) depending on my taxes every year, cannot play ever day. As for your record, you are safe; I will never approach 20K.

No wins against out of conference teams with a winning record. And, if you consider beating a 2-10 Ole Miss team after their coach was fired then okay that's a big win.
