It's as though I'm living in a very bad dream. Hillary or Trump. Gas or electric chair. Earth quake or tornado.

With all their faults, either will be better than Obama.

I'm not sure Hillary would be. She is running left of Obama right now. Maybe that's because she has to out-socialize a Socialist (Bernie), but that's scary considering her base doesn't think Obama is radical enough. Trump's a wild card. He's probably a big government Democrat, but I don't think he's crazy left like her. Maybe he would surround himself with Republican advisers who could steer him in the right direction and help him out with the Constitution and law, etc..

Primary voters for Romney at this point 7M, DT 9M. Romney lost by 5M to Obama while getting less votes than McCain. Hillary will not get the Obama coalition vote and Trump will do much better than Romney did in the general. Trump wins in a landslide.
The people that say having DT on the top of the ticket will cause the Reps to lose the House or the Senate, I say BullShit. If they lose, it will be the spinelessness they have shown since Obama became president and they deserve to lose.

I think you're right, but it's because neither one of them will be as effective as Obama. Rubio was crucified for the gaff, but he was exactly right. Obama knew exactly what he was doing and he sufficiently garnered enough support behind his ideas to get them passed (or he used executive orders).
Neither Hillary or Trump will effectively carry out their vision, but Hillary is probably more likely to be effective...which, is not a good thing.

It's hard to compare the 2012 primary with this year's because it has lasted so long and has been very competitive. Romney had it wrapped up by now in 2012 and there was no real reason to go vote in the primary, so turnout would be lower.
But another thing is that Romney finished with 10 million votes in the primary and 9 million voted for other candidates. Right now, Trump has 9 million votes, but 13 million have voted for other candidates. So the turnout is higher for him and against him. His problem is the 13 million that are against him. How many of those can he convince that he's not a dumbass... probably not many. How many will vote for him because at least he's not as bad as Hillary? That's the big question.

I agree.

I realize many may still believe there's hope of another GOP candidate, but I believe we are seeing a revolution of some kind in the party and it's like a runaway train. Many Republicans don't like Trump and could have never imagined him as president of the US. But conservatives better start considering what we're going to do in November.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
It would be a choice between two democrats. You can either go the lesser of two evils, vote third party, don't vote, or revolt.

I am announcing that my house is seceding from the Union. I have been elected the new Republic's first president with 80% of the vote. Don't come to my house. I'm building a wall. And we have no gun laws, so...

Petoria was a country founded and disbanded in "E. Peterbus Unum", Peter accidentally discovers that his property is technically not part of the United States. He declares himself president of the independent nation of Petoria. Petoria's sole territorial expansion was the annexation of "Joehio" - Joe Swanson's pool - where Peter later threw a party with fellow dictators including Saddam Hussein, Muammar al-Gaddafi and Slobodan Milošević. Peter abused his power as president and was soon forced to surrender to the US government during Operation Desert Clam over the dispute concerning Joehio.
The original name for the country was "Peterland" but he had to settle on "Petoria" because the gay bar down by the airport already had the name.

Should be some good bowhunting bout election time, and the crappie bite is really good in November. If it's between two Democrats, I'll take option 3 probably.

I don't think he'll get more than 30% of those that voted for others in the primary. If it's between him or Hillary, meh, flip a coin and let's call it even.
