Update: Chicago July 4th weekend violence: 100 people shot, including 11 kids; 18 killed
Ladies and gentlemen, those are pro numbers quote:
At least 100 people were shot in Chicago over the extended holiday weekend, including 11 children and a police commander, and 18 were killed, according to information released Tuesday.
There were 69 shootings from 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Monday, with 100 people wounded, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) said. The 18 murder victims are believed to have ranged in age from 19 to 46 and include at least one person who was fatally stabbed, police said. Meanwhile, some of the shooting victims were as young as 5 and 6 years old.
The Chicago Sun-Times called it the city's deadliest weekend of 2021 so far.

So 30% of the population are committing 71% of the gun murders in Chicago.
Is this systemic racism? You bet it is. It's all related to how the liberals have extolled the virtues of, and financed, single motherhood, leaving young black males without proper role models and a male perspective (governor) growing up. It's related to liberal policies that keep black children in poor failing schools, but the good news (according to Guisslapp) is that they are attending poor failing schools with poor white children, so as long as both are equally uneducated and don't pollute the schools to which the liberal parents send their kids all is just perfect. It's related to liberal policies that keep the police from protecting the vast majority of these "communities". It is related to the liberal mantra they hear daily telling them they cannot achieve anything because of their color.
Forgot to add....97% of the murders are from handguns, so let's make sure we get rid of those evil black rifles.
Don't look now, but the democrats are working to create a truly caste society, and these blacks they purport to represent are not in their "successful" social group. What they've done to these folks is borderline criminal.

NFL plans to play 'Black National Anthem' before every game in 2021

The National Football League is planning to increase social justice messages and play the Black National Anthem before every game.
The NFL previously played the Black National Anthem, titled "Lift Every Voice and Sing", before week 1 games in 2020, as BLM was at the forefront of American news, Fox News reports.
A report from Front Office Sports shows that they plan to make the black anthem a "prominent part of big league events." The NFL also plan to increase its social justice messaging during the 2021 season.
the post millennial
This will kill any remaining viewership that they have.. I haven't really watched NFL games in probably 3 years.. don't miss it.. actually enjoy having more time on Sunday's to do other things.
Re: What is Systemic Racism?
Waiting for them to announce that they will also be playing the “Whites ONLY National Anthem”. Oh, but that’s racist.

Third verse is especially good:
God of our weary years,
God of our silent tears,
Thou who hast brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who hast by Thy might
Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee;
Shadowed beneath Thy hand,
May we forever stand.
True to our God,
True to our native land.

If Biden signed an executive order today banning play of the "Star Spangled Banner" at all public events it would not be enough.
If Biden signed a proclamation saying "Lift Every Voice and Sing" is our new National Anthem it would not be enough.
I say let a UN envoy decide what we should do.:icon_roll:

Exactly. It's being used as a weapon to further the commie bastard agenda.
Our true, and only, National Anthem highlights an important moment in our nation's history, at a time when we were in real danger of ceasing to be an independent nation, only 36 years after gaining independence. Every true American should get goosebumps on that line "...that our flag was still there." The powerful British fleet had bombarded Fort McHenry like very few, if any other, forts had been in history. The Brits fired over 1,500 heavy rounds into the fort. A confident British naval officer said, "no one can sustain such a pounding and not surrender. These pirates will strike their colors come the morning." The British referred to the defenders of Fort McHenry as "a band of pirates." But, in the morning, "our flag was still there."
The defenders refused to surrender. We will not go quietly into the night, we will NOT cease to exist as an independent nation. The British tried taking the fort by land, but 5,000 British soldiers were ambushed by 800 pissed-off and determined American militia (2nd Amendment...), British commander General Ross was killed in the battle. And they tried an attack by sea with British marines in boats attempting to get into the fort. But that effort was quickly turned back by cannon fire from Fort McHenry. After a week of trying the defeated British departed..."and our flag was still there."
Americanism is a unique culture, one that embraces many, and all, other cultures blended together. It does not recognize other factors, like race. Only those opposed to Americanism attempt to invoke race in an attempt to divide us and destroy America. I stand with the gallant defenders of Fort McHenry.

Exactly.
Maybe we need to also have a LGBTQ national anthem and a woman's national anthem and an Asian American national anthem and a construction worker national anthem and a democrat national anthem and a republican national anthem and a children's national anthem and a Hispanic-heritage national anthem and an Asian-American national anthem and an Irish-American national anthem and a transitioning national anthem and an atheist national anthem, etc.
I am sure they'd all be fine songs and representative of whatever group wanted them.
Aren't we all just "Americans"?
