You sir are hopeless in Texas! It was all over the news and yes even the fake news of CNN and MSNBC.
As a teenager, college student and now adult, have you always been accused of lacking any common sense? We love our fellow dawgs and you but come on man! That is in black and white. And we already discussed the terrible and fateful decision of the "One World" liberals around the world and our "No Border Dems" per our own American borders and American's safety. I even posted about our border guards catching 500+ Asians crossing our southern border about 6 weeks ago.
"Come on man!"
And now this!!! WTH!! :argue:
GERTZ: China isolated deadly bat viruses at unsecure lab near Wuhan wild food market...
By Bill Gertz - The Washington Times - Monday, March 30, 2020
Chinese government researchers isolated more than 2,000 animal viruses, including deadly bat coronaviruses, and carried out scientific work on them just three miles from a wild animal market identified as the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Several Chinese state media outlets in recent months touted the virus research and lionized in particular a key researcher in Wuhan, Tian Junhua, as a leader in bat virus work.
The coronavirus strain now infecting hundreds of thousands of people globally mutated from bats believed to have infected animals and people at a wild animal market in Wuhan. The exact origin of the virus, however, remains a mystery.

Reports of the extensive Chinese research on bat viruses likely will fuel more calls for Beijing to make public what it knows about such work.
“This is one of the worst cover-ups in human history, and now the world is facing a global pandemic,” Rep. Michael T. McCaul, Texas Republican and ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said last week. Mr. McCaul has said China should be held accountable for the pandemic.

Chinese Biological Experiments To Infect Humans With Coronavirus Exposed In 2015 By Italian State Media
by Tyler Durden
Tue, 03/31/2020 - 06:10
Authored by Guido Taietti via GreatGameIndia.com,
Five years ago, Italian state owned media Company, Rai – Radiotelevisione Italiana, exposed dark efforts by China on viruses. The video, which was broadcast in November, 2015, showed how Chinese scientists were doing biological experiments on a SARS connected virus believed to be Coronavirus, derived from bats and mice, asking whether it was worth the risk in order to be able to modify the virus for compatibility with human organisms.

Rush is discussing some interesting points today...
- Considering the number of Chinese travelers who arrived in California vs. New York during the same time, why is Los Angeles not the "epicenter" of the virus vs New York.
- US total deaths have now exceeded reported deaths in China.
...why wouldn't any reporter out there want to do a story on this?
Density and use of public transportation would be my guess. LA is expansive like Houston.
1 out of every 221 people in NYC have it.
1 out of 264 people in NOLA have it.
The City of New York is more than 3 times as dense as the City of Los Angeles, with population densities of 26,343 and 7,828 people per square mile. Ruston is a little over a 1,000 per square mile (which may be an over estimate, don't know if they included Tech in or out). Mardi Gras is probably a big issue, population density of New Orleans listed at around 2,300.
Could weather have some effect?
Do you know the difference in the number arriving in California vs New York?
Do you consider New York more dense than New Orleans? Of course it is by a long shot. I know what mardi gras looks like, but other than that...
There are some really screwy numbers out there right now.
Cuomo is saying numbers are up today while other indicators and experts are seeing a flattening of the curve.
Maybe from China, but NYC is more international than LA. The number of seed cases becomes less relevant over time due to the infectivity (each person gives the virus to 3 others, on average, without self distancing). The density likely influences the factor of the exponent for a given community while the number of “seeds” effects the initial base value rather than the value of the exponent. In simple terms Total cases = (number of initial cases)^(time multiplied by infectivity, which is a function of density/social distqnfing and mitigating factors (use of masks/hand washing). As time increases, the value of the exponent has a dominant effect on the total cases.
I think Mardi Gras both brought seeds into the area and the density as well as lack of social distancing associated with Mardi Gras influenced the infectivity at that time.
New York has done more testing than anywhere else in the world which is influencing their relative performance. Other areas are likely under reporting may a more significant extent than NYC.
The numbers will continue to go up for a little while. What I started seeing in the numbers a few days ago was an inflection in the rate of increase of the increase. The numbers are still increasing but at a slower rate. For an exponential function, you will see that before you see the number of new cases actually decrease.
There was a time most flights coming from China, Japan, Korea and that region were routed thru Anchorage. But now with jets like the Boeing 767 and 777 they can fly further on a tank of fuel and don't have to make that stop anymore, thus direct flights to the west coast is common today. I don't know if a flight could originate in China and fly all the way to NY nonstop. Anyone know?
Bottom line...
Due to density issues in other areas of the country those of us who are not living in dense areas must adapt to situations that don't involve us.
Will things get bad in Miami, Atlanta, Houston, DFW, and Chicago? New York City bad?
Apparently we can throw New Orleans out the statistic gathering data.
More updates on lying Commie China.
Published1 hour agoChinese officials, desperate to recast the country as a global leader that has conquered the coronavirus, have been saying that its death rates are decreasing in the city of Wuhan. The problem, residents say, is that the numbers don't add up.
- China's infection count leaves out asymptomatic cases, will start including them this week
- Wuhan residents say coronavirus figures released by China don't add up

You mean our and your God? The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob? The one and only God of the universe? The one and only God your knees will bow and your tongue will confess to and acknowledge that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You mean that God?
Yes, Trump will have to do the same as below, like all of us that have ever lived.
King James Bible
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
New International Version
It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'"
New Living Translation
For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the LORD, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’”
More fake news.
I see there are nonstop flights now, the first was in 1996. Figures, I pretty much stop traveling to China in 1995. I think they purposely waited...dem rascals.
You heard it here first....
If we don't have at least 100,000 deaths in the USA, Guisslapp will be on here saying Trump was lying and spreading misinformation during the update today.
I agree 100%. Many died in the wool liberals will be disappointed it didn't reach their "yelling fire in the theater"
and inflated headliner 2,5000,000 deaths projected in the USA.
Of course the socialist and liberal mob and squad will be screaming, "Its the economy stupid" after downplaying
the booming Trump forged economy until now.
It was Trump and his cohorts that wanted to talk about the flu when this got started. And then he said we have the coronavirus under control. At least he is getting his head in the game now. I would laugh, but it is actually sad that this came from the POTUS.
Here is what the Dems were doing.
NANCY PELOSI TOUTED IMPEACHMENT WALK TO SENATE AS CORONAVIRUS CAME TO U.S.
Nancy Pelosi Touted Impeachment Walk to Senate as Coronavirus Came to U.S.
Democrats have criticized President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, as polls have shown rising approval from Americans over the job he is doing overall and his handling of the crisis.
On Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed Trump was responsible for the loss of American lives.
A former aide to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) reminded Democrats that the same day the first person with coronavirus showed up to the U.S. in Washington state, Pelosi urged Americans to watch House impeachment managers deliver the articles of impeachment against Trump to the Senate.
Pelosi indeed tweeted on January 15: “Tune in as House impeachment managers deliver the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the U.S. Senate.”
According to the CDC, the first patient to have been confirmed positive for coronavirus in the U.S. arrived to the country from Wuhan, China, on the same day, January 15.
On January 23, House impeachment managers made their opening arguments for removing the president to the Senate.
On January 29, Trump formed the White House Coronavirus Task Force.
On January 30, senators began asking two days of questions during the impeachment trial.
On January 31, Trump declared a ban on travel to the U.S. from China, which Democrats criticized as xenophobic.

And just think, if the House would have done their job and impeached this president, lives would have been saved in an appropriate federal response to COVID 19.
Pandemic for 200, Alex.
"I handed out commemorative impeachment pens."
Who is Nancy Pelosi?
CORRECT
Well you will have 4 more years to complain starting next January. BTW, the house did impeach him. Senate chose not to convict.
Deep down and privately democrats know they have no shot at November either. Their main concern is will they be able to keep majority in the House.. that is in jeopardy right now.
We flew to Hong Kong on an L-110 Widebody....a frickin' flying church! Three seats near window, an aisle, then eight seats, an aisle, and three more seats on the other side, window. The flight path, after departing Anchorage was over Kamchatka, Russia and while crossing the Bering Straight and entering Russian airspace they sent up two MIGs. Our navy sent two F-14 Tomcats to "play" with the MIGs. Luckily I had a window seat and watched the 4 fighters go in and out cloud banks and fly circles around us, and each other. That killed about 30 mins...out of an 11 hour+ stage from Alaska to Hong Kong. Wasn't the fastest airliner ever built...
Then, we landed at the old Hong Kong airport, no longer in use. This required a rapid drop just over the top of a mountain with a HUGE golden Buddha statue on top. Thought we were gonna hit it! Then the too-short runway so the huge plane had to hit the brakes hard! Interesting landing...
Pandemic for 300, Alex.
"As the virus spread I was threatening Supreme Court justices over abortion."
Who is Chuck Schumer?
CORRECT
Pandemic for 800, Alex.
"My administration never replinished the nation's pandemic stockpile after the Swine Flu pandemic in 2010.."
Who is Joe Biden?
CORRECT. We would also accepted Barack Obama.
Pandemic for 900, Alex.
"I insinuate in interviews that President Trump has blood on his hands, but I moderated a democrat debate in late February and didn't ask a single COVID -19 question.."
Who is NBC's Chuck Todd?
CORRECT.
Pandemic for 700, Alex.
"In 2015, my state's Pandemic Commission recommended I purchase 16,000 ventilators but instead I blew the money on failed green energy projects.. Now I blame my problems on President Trump."
Who is New York Governor Andrew Cuomo?
CORRECT.
Have you flown in/out Cozumel? Something similar, very short runway. Brakes are screaming and smoking as the tree line comes up quick! You lurch forward in your seat, like being in a car going fast and hitting the brakes hard. After landing at the old Hong Kong airport or at Cozumel makes you want to get out and kiss the ground!
“This is a flu. This is like a flu"; "Now, you treat this like a flu"; "It's a little like the regular flu that we have flu shots for. And we'll essentially have a flu shot for this in a fairly quick manner."
Trump, Feb 26
"So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths,"
Trump, March 7
This is why Trump didn’t give this disease the time of day. Up until he finally started to panic in mid-March, he was convinced this disease was no big deal and was under control.
Blah, blah, blah...you are nothing but a broken record.
I've seen several media outlets report on this Texas company in the past few days. This is the answer to the ventilator shortage. And the owner of this "mom and pop" Texas company is offering to give the plans away to anyone who wants them. And his device is FDA approved. (Sorry if someone already posted this)
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...virus-n1173466
There's a company, Unacast, I think is its name, who has developed software to track cell phone movement...let's set aside the Orwellian Big Brother concerns for a moment. According to the data for Louisiana, Natchitoches Parish is among the worst at the shelter at home order. We get a D+. Guilty! I'm out and about just about every day. But I have things to do, properties to attend to, and renters, who are pretty much sheltering at home, who are dependent on me and my contractors to deal with issues. Besides, I am always alone in my vehicle and we do our level best to stay 6 feet apart when we are at the same place.
Just interesting, but not surprising, that Natchitoches would be one of the biggest violators of the governor's order. People around here are still having gatherings of 10 or more.
Seeing that Texas has one of the lowest per capita testing in the US, which is consistent with the anecdotal evidence that I have heard and may help explain why the infection numbers for Houston metro areas are relatively low for their density.
California per capita testing is also relatively low.
Source for testing data: https://www.vox.com/2020/3/26/211938...tests-by-state
Sorry to bring up old stuff, but you know King David was a deeply flawed dude right? In addition to some of the wonderful things he did, he did some truly wretched things as well. Might want to brush up on his story. I don't think anyone here is expecting Trump to be a new King David, but certainly some might wish for it.
In related news there is a great series of books on the men of the bible Great lives in Gods words by Charles Swindoll. Only woman featured is Esther, but they are good books . David is particularly interesting.
There will be many surprises when this all shakes out...and some folks will eat a lot of crow.
Here is what the Dems were doing.

I found this a good read on the reason why the stockpile of ventilators was so low.

and another.

It's an after-the-fact spin of limited events to portray what they wanted them to show. They are not an unbiased source of information (probably less so than the news agency you rail against). The conclusion was predetermined, and then they twisted whatever they could to back up their conclusion.
Any idiot could do that.
The fact that you get your information from them tells me a lot about you (and your echo chamber). No wonder you are willing to put on the tin foil hat every time someone makes an allegation against the President. Campaign finance...you're on board. Russia...you're on board. Ukraine...you're on board. Racist...you're on board. Sexist...you're on board. There is no limit to how much you can be duped.
The bolded part is incorrect. After digging into the CDC numbers some more. They only estimate "symptomatic cases". Almost all of the CDC numbers for the flu are estimates (including deaths). They are based on the number of hospitalizations (which is adjusted for the accuracy of the test as Guisslapp pointed out in the Louisiana thread). Deaths from the flu are derived in a similar fashion (and are adjusted up because of suspected under reporting of the flu as a cause of death). The total number of cases is just a multiple of the estimates for hospitalization. There isn't any larger model to estimate transmission or carriers etc. It's actually much more simple than that. None of the CDC numbers for the flu are hard numbers of positive tests, doctor visits, hospitalizations, or deaths. They are all estimates. They do have a good understanding of the flu from years of research and tracking and can make the estimates with pretty good confidence.
Bottom line, the numbers used for the flu are difficult to compare to the numbers for the coronavirus because we don't have enough info on the coronavirus yet to make similar estimations and the hard numbers may give a very distorted view
Did you see where that MSNBC anchor asked a pastor to pray on air? I think all the leftists heads promptly exploded. After all, they consider the media to be an arm of the Democratic Party and he violated their errant interpretation of the concept of the separation of church and state.
Why are you bozos watching MSNBC?
I didn’t, but someone I follow posted it on Twitter.
RIP, Adam Schlesinger.

Orleans Parish has passed NYC on a per capita infection basis.
Orleans 1:172
NYC 1:177
Another 6.64 million added to the unemployment rolls in addition to the 3.3 million newly unemployed last week.
Larrice Anderson...ER nurse at East New Orleans Hospital...died from C-19. She was young, mid 30's, and leaves behind children and other family. Happened to be a friend of my sister, who just retired after being a nurse herself, and then a nurse anesthetist for 35 years. My sister had weekly contact with Ms. Anderson through their duties. Said if there was ever a positive, smiling, caring, giving person it was Larrice Anderson. Her death has shocked the whole community. HUGE loss! Actually, as my sister just told me...Larrice was a friend of everyone!
You know...my sister is one tough cookie. She has seen people die for 35 years. Some of her patients who just couldn't be saved during some kind of surgery. After a while, she said, you accept it as part of the job. You might even grow to be callus. But this affected her. Speaks volumes about the type of person, and nurse, Larrice Anderson was.
And many, many more just like Ms. Anderson are at risk. Including my daughter and my niece in Florida. Pray for 'em all.
Yep! and my sister just reminded me her step-daughter, my step-niece, is now an RN at ICU Ochner's Hospital...in the very epicenter of this mess. The entire ward is filled with C-19 infected patients. My sister's daughter had been at a small, rural hospital in southern Mississippi until she landed the job at Ochner's...this past November. Talk about walking into a mess!
