And I concur on Hootie as an overgrown bar/frat house band that managed to get themselves overplayed on the radio. But I also agree that they know their place in the world. I've seen them twice and both times you could really tell that they are just some dudes that like playing music to sing along to. Great covers, great audience interaction, just fun times all around.
The last time I saw them it was at Billy Bob's. You Never Even Call Me by My Name brought the house down.

Unfortunately I am listening to nothing today. My old Sansa mp3 player just up and died today. It got wet a few months back and I had to take the back cover off to dry it out. After a few days and a recharge it worked fine. It has the same symptoms but looks like it will not respond like before. This has been a really bad few months for electronics (computer, TV projector bulb, mp3 player, washer and dryer, etc.) I guess things just get old and need to be replaced.
