Roy Lang quote from twitter:
"No way he turns down 1.3 million at UT. No. Way."

I've seen it on a few other boards and it always makes me roll my eyes. We have a few posters that do it here as well.
Like we're not going to know who MW or SH or "White" or "Holtz" is.
It's an odd affect to me.

I've never thought of it as a way to "disguise an identity" persay, but as just an abbreviation. I guess it could be seen that way, though.

I used to tell my son the Terry Bradshaw was my hero for all he's done for Tech. I just might have a new hero!
Re: Parrish: UT focusing on Mike White for HC vacancy
Last night I was all sad in the hype thinking Coach White would leave for Tennessee. Now we are pretty sure he is staying and I think that says a lot about Tech and a lot about Coach White. I'm so glad we have him hopefully for next year and as long as he will stay.

Re: Parrish: UT focusing on Mike White for HC vacancy
I just listened live to Gary Parrish (the guy breaking all the White/UT news) talk about the Coach White and the Tennessee search on his radio show. He said he won't go into all the details, but... He said that Coach White went into discussions Saturday night thinking he would take the job, but as negotiations went on, the UT administration slowly turned him off from taking the job at Tennessee until this morning when Coach White told them that he was going to stay at Tech. Dave Hart did not approach Coach White the right way, and it created doubt in Coach White's mind to make him feel that Tennessee was not the right place for him.

One difference with this is that no coach is under contract after June 30. And there will be serious backlash if the current coach gets another contract.
Even running the table at this point probably doesn't qualify Tech for another trip to Hattiesburg.
