"24"

I finally got to see the 1st 4 hours. Seemed a little slow to me. I guess we are going to build a little more this season instead of crisis after crisis. If that's the case then I can take it. I just hope we can stick with a good story line. I miss CTU, the look of the FBI office is weird. Too many lights. Cool thing is I have a cousin that is a counterintelligence (don't think I don't kid him about the name) agent with the FBI. Acording to him, it's a lot more boring than when he was a "regular" agent.

Missed it tonight and will watch it online later. Had to do the civic organization thing this evening. Really hope Jack took a few minutes to severly hammer somebody's head tonight!

It seems like the writers are taking a different direction this year but it "feels" like it's headed in a good direction and the pace will pick up. Something had to give after assassinations, nuclear bombs and poison gas. The political climate is different too. So I hope they pull it off and keep it relevent because I've really enjoyed this show over the years.

If not, there's still "Lost" which, in comparison, has NO basis in reality, was looking really good at the end of last season, and still has a couple of seasons to run. But I digress...this is after all, the "24" thread.

Jack Fact: Jack Baur bought a bed of nails but sent it back to the manufacturer because it was too soft!

The thickened a bit, how will the hot new FBI agent get out of the shallow grave?

I know, I know, she's not much on looks OR personality. But she's saved his a** so many times, there ought to be a "thank-you-one-hell-of-a-lot" exchange somewhere down the line.

Finally watched last week's episode. I think what's her name gets out of the grave, silent clock at the end not withstanding. It might be too soon for the African invasion/air traffic control problem to be solved, but I don't think that's the big problem for the season. I think its the guys who killed the presidents son and are about to kill her husband that is the big problem. I figure they're the same guys that had Palmer assassinated.

Yeah, I think that's right. But they were front men for whatever this behind the scenes deal is. There's this guy who's only been shown a time or two with the last time I remember being on a yacht somewhere, talking with Jack dad. I think it's a multi-national oil/industrial entity. Kind of like the military/industrial complex Eisehower warned about. For all I know the Masons are involved too, along with the Tri-lateral Commission. And of course, Specter!

FINALLY the pace is picking up and its getting interesting. I was beginning to wonder.

I was thinking Sean was the mole, but they did a good job of faking when Janis took the pass key & went to the terminal to check on Chloe.

Larry is an idiot.

Will Dubaku kill the girlfriend? Given the track record of the show, she may be a goner.

Yeah, I think Dubaku's girlfriend is a goner. Yay for Aaron Pierce reappearing...

I'm wondering how much further they can drag out this Dubaku storyline. What's the next twist/unfolding going to be? Something much larger going on?

The guy, who was talking to the secret service agent about the President's son, from the two hour special in November has not been seen this season yet.

I think Dubaku is going to end up dead in the next episode.

But I think the BIG twist is going to be all the turn-coat guys in government that have been helping Dubaku are going to try to pull a coup d'etat on the USA.

It's a guess. But if you're going to guess, guess big!
