You would probably be surprised the percentage of the victims of gun violence that did have training on proper use and care. To err is human, and to err with a firearm can be deadly. In my experience, the most common factor in deadly gun incidents, apart from presence of a gun in the home, has been overconfidence, particularly overconfidence in your kids. Overconfidence in their training, in their judgment and ability to be safe, in how secure the gun was from them, and their mental condition. But this is just within my own experience - this is not statistics.Quote:

And, other reasons to own guns? Well, we have clearly seen the guvmint can't be trusted.
But, none of that matters anyway. The Constitution grants me the right to own guns....and the rest is none of your damn business.
