Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
The intangible to this? Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker and WM Mayor Dave Norris visit often.

Is Flying Burgers still coming to Ruston?

This is something I was hoping to ask about Sunday when I took my daughter back to school in Magnolia, AR but the Flying Burger there is closed on Sunday. It was the owner there that told my family they are coming to Ruston.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Where is Ivan Smith going, or are they closing? There is a "For Rent" sign outside.

I was told they were relocating next to the Courtyard Marriott on the service rd. If that's true...I was hoping something more unique and interesting to the area would be neighboring a nice hotel such as the courtyard. It appears some businesses here enjoy playing musical chairs.

It's their business model...location, location, location. Adding the Magnolia Home (Joanna Gains) will bring in more business for them, but they were already affordable as furniture stores go.

A small covered practice field/conference center would not be out of line next to the Marriott. That's what the enterprising hotelier at Logan, Utah, did to make sure he always got Utah State's opponents to stay at his hotel.

Still hoping that we can snag a Hilton Garden Inn or a Doubletree near The University at some point.

I rode by there today and tried to look more closely for a sign saying what it was. As i rounded the back corner of
Office Depot, i actually said to myself, "Surely it's not Ivan Smith." Hmmm. Was hoping for something new and exciting, whatever that would be.

Maybe an outside chance for a HGI, but a full service hotel in Ruston is unlikely.

When/why did Holiday Inn pull out? (Now country inn).

They didn't leave; they upgraded. The new Holiday Inn Express & Suites is across the interstate, near the Tractor Supply store.

That is definitely Ivan Smith building next to Courtyard Marriott in Ruston.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
We've stayed at Country Inn several times in Tallahassee, on the way to Orlando. I've always liked their service, and two queen beds plus a sofa bed so all 4 kids have a place to sleep. I don't know how the layout of these will be, since it was built as something else.

What is the building behind Whataburger going to be?
