We were just mad and not leading. And, as a result, the electorate is more liberal than it's ever been. And you think running a liberal is the answer? Goodness gracious...and the pivot left has just begun. Mark my words.
So yes, I'll blame the GOP for its current state.
Hey Sooner, why Gary Johnson? I like Austin Petersen a LOT more.
I took the time to read about him. He would be a great candidate.
His take on transgenders was interesting. As expected from a "consistent" libertarian, he agrees with my view that the private sector should be free to choose whether they accommodate transsexuals. Of course he was pressed on government owned facilities. We differed there. He said something to the effect of men, women and neutral. I would have said that I don't care about federal government facilities.. The wealth and health of the nation is in the private sector. My only concern with federally owned buildings is how many can we close.

Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
"On Meet the Press, Trump was asked whether he would rely on executive action in the manner of President Obama. 'I won’t refuse it. I’m going to do a lot of things,' Trump replied. 'I mean, [President Obama] led the way, to be honest with you,' he added. But rest assured, Trump noted, 'I’m going to use [executive actions] much better and they’re going to serve a much better purpose than he’s done.'”

You making a point?
You think Trump is more Obama?
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
To the extent that he intends to be bound by the Constitution and the rule of law, yes.

He just said it in his own words. He's basically saying Obama tried to be a dictator, so I can too. It's his lone driving principle, imo... "Government could be great if I was in charge. We just have idiots in government." He never speaks of limited government or the Constitution.

I'm sure those will be talking points he'll use soon.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
If I were elected Prez I would use executive orders....to undo obummer's executive orders!
Then I would use executive orders to unravel the mess Congress has created over the past 10 years or so. This nation is on the brink of implosion, and there is no time for "due process" in some critical areas. Now, once the nation is stabilized I would lead from the front on getting us back on a Constitutional path. With an emphasis on the 10th Amendment.

Coin a phrase like, "I'm going to make America fantastic" and run for president. This is the Trump campaign. Executive Orders are always undone by the in-coming president, but taking power from Congress is treason, imo. An oath is taken to defend the Constitution. It is meaningless, I guess.
