I also have my "professional" email on my phone. I restrict my "hair-trigger" replies and forwards to inner office, CLOSE coworkers only. I would NEVER reply to "customers" via my mobile until I take the time to proof it carefully for tone and grammar.
Maybe you're much better, polished and careful with spelling, tone and "auto-correct" than either Missy Setters or me.

I can't say I haven't gotten sarcastic and curt with a customer via email or on the phone when the customer has asked the same question three times in a row. When you're asking legitimate questions, you get legitimate answers. When you are asking the same thing over and over again, as was the case in this email exchange, of course nerves are going to be frayed. I have cut customers off before and ended conversations if the conversation isn't going anywhere. I am not a believer in the old adage that the customer is always right.

That is because, like a politician....she never answered the first question. She answered her own question.....and said it wasn't our (I-Bowl's) fault! It was everyone else's fault.

This is starting to sound like Snoopy talking to the Red Baron!

nope, from Monroe living in Cajun country and have to deal with delusional ragin cajun fans every day. They think they will one day end up in the Big 12.....and I usually root for you guys because they resent any success you guys have, but I have to stand up for my Warhawks and I'm sure you would do the same if you were in my position
Re: Email from Missy Setters
I think the I-Bowl is in a real existential situation here. Due to an overabundence of hubris from their management, they have continuially alienated one of their largest potential core constituencies and every year that passes is less prestigious than the year before.
It is clear that Tech football and the I-Bowl are on divergent paths and it does us no good to focus too much attention on their struggles. Tech football will be here 10 years from now and in probably much better shape than it is even now. Can the same be said for the I-Bowl? Or will its existence be contained entirely within a glass display case on Clyde Fant next to Bradshaw's jersey and a Shreveport Steamer helmet?
I know that they feel like they needed to "teach us a lesson" and "put us in our place", but I really think the Bowl's only hope is a top-to-bottom change in the decision makers.

Indeed I would. I just don't appreciate your attempts (weak as they may be) to belittle LA Tech.

Then repeat after me......"LA TECH IS FAR SUPERIOR TO ULM, BOTH ACADEMICALLY AND ATHLETICALLY!"
Anything less than the above is truly a poor attempt to belittle LA Tech. :icon_wink:

I respect any loyal fan who sticks by their school win or lose. Respect them a lot. A lot of us Tech fans have "been there" with our team. . It's the bandwagon fans (similar to Thomas Paine's characterization of the "summer soldier soldier and sunshine patriot") that are scumbags. Your posts have been OK. Of course, since it's a Tech fan board we are much more free to go off on another team here.:D

HogDawg, you embody everything that's unattractive about Tech culture. Why would anyone spend time and money to go to Ruston and hang out with people like you? You're a sad, small, angry rube.
