We discussed this weeks ago and you said it was always (going back to March I believe) known that booster shots would be necessary for everyone. NOW your experts are backing off on that.

I still think they will. The fda advisory panel just didn’t think we need to take that step for the general population NOW because they are comfortable with the evidence that, outside those that were vaccinated earliest (particularly the old and compromised) our immunity is still effective at preventing severe disease and death. Or at least sufficiently so that they would rather wait to see more data before recommending it for the general population. For those most at risk, they were unanimous in their cost benefit analysis - they should get it.

Who said anything about the validity of the BMI? The discussion was about who can get the booster.

And to avoid any potential fake outrage, the FDA will sometimes recommend something even when the advisory committee does not vote in favor of it.

You implied that those with a BMI over 25 were "at risk". That's as ridiculous as implying all those with HBP are "at risk".

Your inference skills are on the fritz. The FDA categorizes those with a BMI over 25 as overweight. I said that may give them access to the booster shot.

Only 1 in 4 with HBP have it under control…in case you were unaware.

Then it should be easy to find their endorsement. It is not part of the FDA’s authority, which in the food space, is about food safety and labeling. Your real enemy is the USDA.
