Perhaps within your circle of influence, especially in the Houston area, the majority of people YOU KNOW dont believe.........But I can assure, you are very much in the minority on this.

Wrong.
Less Than Half of all Published Scientists Endorse Global Warming Theory

I read it. It was interesting. I also followed a couple of the links. One of them, WOW. It was about Michael Eckhert, the President of ACORE, threatening to ruin the career of a person that opposed him. He supposedly apologized, and the person commented on that and included an email from Eckhert to another person. Man that Eckhert fellow is really worried about this. He's a scary fellow. Here's a link to the blog with the email from Eckhert.

I had to laugh at the one part where Eckhert tells the guy that he's using his scientific training to make a living "refuting what is irrefutably the truth." Well, if it's irrefutable, then how is able to refute it?
Re: Global Warming Cont...
Guys I believe in global warming now. Not because the weather is as mild as ever here, but because of a highly scientific simulation of the near future.
It's titled The Day After Tommorrow and was released by an entity widely respected in the scientific community: Hollywood.
This proves to all of you anti-AGW peions that unless you IMMEDIATELY halt use of all automobiles and production facilities the world will end the day after tommorrow.
First the Ocean's will instantly drop several degrees. Next super cooled air will swoop in from the stratosphere and instantly freeze half of the world. But don't worry, you can outrun it on foot because I saw it happen. That's right, it instantly freezes half the world but I saw somebody outrun the cold on foot.
Meanwhile all of the land under 500' elevation will be storm surged to death. Somehow the cold air will cause an upsurge of water all over the world like Noah's flood. Hopefully you can dodge the giant ships falling on your head while outrunning the bitter cold.
It may seem hard to swallow that the entire planet instantly loses energy and drops net temperature but this foolproof simulation only states the facts.
Al Gore, the smartest man alive, believes this and so should you. He has personally taken all precautions that he can to help the world by cutting his energy use to only 30 times that of the average american. He has a dog in this fight and so should you. He was so smart, he almost beat little bush.
Little bush is so smart you can see how big Al lost that one.
Unfortunately the day after tommorrow little bush is going to be flash frozen because he's above the Mason Dixon line.
I'll bet none of you were smart enough to predict that the earth WARMING to a critical point would cause the planet to FREEZE.
If you haven't seen this simulation this is your warning: you have approximately 48 hours to live so you better head for MEX-E-CO asap!

Yeah, that is pretty outrageous. I like the part where he said he was concerned because the other guy is so persuasive and credible.

That movie was actually pretty entertaining, IMO.

Yeah. I've always found it hard to be persuasive and credible unless the information you have is persuasive and credible.

Entertaining in the way that I laugh so hard at it I start to tear up. I can picture the whacko writing the script:
"Hmmm. Next a giant ship will roll into NYC, crushing everything in it's path. This will setup a flash freeze caused by global warming.
If I say that global warming causes global cooling then I'm guaranteed to be right!"

I take it you did not read the link either?
Re: Global Warming Cont...
The guy on CNN this morning said that he said something about global warming not causing as many hurricanes and that he got a lot of backlash from the viewer base (democrats) for saying that.
He then showed a clip from Al Bore's movie and compared it to the notes from an interview from a top hurricane expert. This expert, and I may be able to look it up later, said that global warming will cause only 5% more hurricanes almost 100 years from now.
I don't know why the proponents of the AGW hype have such deep founded belief in this.
Re: Global Warming Cont...
This isnt looking good. This may not be it, but one of these days...Im afraid its going to happen......soon.
WE could have 2 or three hurricanes within 54 hours. 1 of em looks like it actually develped over Florida. new school, talk to me

Out of curiosity, why did you put this post in the global warming thread?
