Just like a .357 can shoot .38 special, a .44 mag can shoot the cheaper .44 special ammo as well. Unless you plan on encountering a bear, I imagine .357 is probably enough gun for most purposes.

"Zombie"..."Liberal Govt Aftermath"...same difference. 357 is the way to go. With todays modern rounds the 357 is much better than the 40's as an all-around choice.
Vehicle: 357 that I bought compliments of this thread with 3 speed loaders in the console next to weapon. Capacity for rapid fire: 24 Rounds. I don't leave an empty chamber in my vehicle gun.
Work: 380: 15 rounds with what I call the "rock crusher" HP's. More powerfull than the "Original G's" 9's of the past two decades in a much smaller get back model. When I shake your hand or bring your steaks/food to the front of my business I've got this one on me and NOBODY will notice or has in the past 11 years.
Home: 12 Gauge Remington 870. Plug Removed. 5 Rounds of BB Shot. Will "blender" any "home invasion specialist" but keep my neighbors safe as the BB's will not retain enough energy if they perforate a wall. Plus I've been using 870's for over 30 years and can safely use it at a very rapid rate in the dark.
I took your advice, I bought a S&W 686+ .357 magnum 6" barrel and it rocks. It has a 7 round cylinder and is a bear. I went and fired it the other day, very accurate. I put both 38 specials and 357 through it. I would recommend this product to another customer.
Just found used Glock 22s on sale for $315 with night sites. That's for the second generation edition. The third generation is like $360. These are trade-ins from law enforcement agencies. The only bad thing is that .40 ammo is high. Mucho stopping power though. :icon_wink:
Anybody licensed to do transfers?
Anybody have(or have shot) a Walther P22? I'm trying to find a .22 for target shooting. I've heard good and bad about the Walther P22 and Sig Sauer Mosquito.
Can't go wrong with a Browning if you're after a good auto 22.
Anyone seen the new Kel-Tec PMR-30? Sweet!
My favorite new gun.

My new favorite gun/sniper combo.
Traded my Remington 700 SPS in .270 WSM for a Savage weather warrior in .308. I can shoot 60 rounds for what it cost to get 20 in the short mag.
