On another note, one upon which I think we can all agree....
that young lady who sung the National Anthem last night was simply awesome! Wow! One of the best renditions I've ever heard.

I like Trump a whole lot more than I did Romney. Romney lost because he is a mormon and most people didn't vote for him because they think mormonism is a cult, so, that cost him credibility.
What program?
I'm amazed that people are upset that these guys who were defamed and mocked by the nominee aren't lining up to support him like that coward Christie. Whatever you think about the validity of his tactics, you HAD to know that he was going to isolate his opponents and their supporters.
As TWon said, the supporters and the candidates owe Trump nothing. Consider their decent a casualty of the campaign.
The people that are "sitting out" are the establishment Republicans that need to retire to Kennybunkport. Good riddance. When the Democrats align with the New Black Panther Party, the status quo is no longer effective. We don't need "go alongers".
If this election kills the Republican party, so be it.
Agree. Had he been part of the establishment he would have been running against Hillary now.
He was so hated by the establishment that they preferred losing to Hillary (or so they are now selling)
Cruz is a rogue of the party. I never expected him to support Trump, but he can't be lumped in with the RINOs.
Interesting article today about Drudge Report saying Trump is his fault. He wouldn't post any negative articles about Trump and only negative articles about other candidates. Several media outlets get their talking points from Drudge.

Trump was truly the biggest RINO in the race (see approval of Hillary 8 short years ago).
I'm not judging folks who support Trump. That's fine. If you think he's the best hope to beat Hillary, that's fine too. I'm even okay with folks saying that it's more important to beat Hillary than it is to vote your conscience. I can understand all those things.
What I can't understand is folks trying to act like Trump is a conservative. He's not...he never has been. If you think the issue with the GOP is that they've strayed from conservatism, I certainly can't see how Trump is a corrective for that.
The best thing about Trump and what I think is driving his appeal is that he is overtly American. He's a nationalist. 8 years of an anti-American regime (combined with pro-American representatives who won't confront them) will give you a candidate like Trump. It was Reagan's appeal after Carter too, but Reagan was actually a thoughtful, principled, conservative where Trump has no principles outside of Make America Great Again (not unlike Hope and Change).
If you have any doubts about what Trump believes, just listen to his sons and daughter talk. I didn't start out a Trump fan, but, his kids won me over. Remember this when you go to vote or stay home. A no-vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary and 4 more years of Obama.
