As for creepiness, keep the male English professors out of the sauna and you should be okay. (80's reference there. who gets it?)

Anybody eating at the Dawg House is subject to food poisoning. That place hasn't been cleaned in a couple of years.

DOT has awarded the job for construction.

I'm also all for jacking up prices for non-alumni. I just don't agree with offering memberships for any cheaper than we already do. I presume Guice and others in charge at Tech also feel old folks and kids ruin the student experience at the Lambright, hence why they haven't acted on Choudawg's request.
Choudawg's request wasn't to allow "old folks and kids" to use the Lambright, it was to provide alumni a perk that non-alumni don't have. The Lambright is replete with children and non-students, especially on the weekends. Some (not me) might argue it's overrun with birthday parties, especially the pool, rock wall, and bowling alley.
Someone at Tech made the decision to charge alumni and non-alumni the same rates, but it's not about ruining the student experience by allowing others to use the facility. If exclusivity were the motivation, non-students wouldn't be allowed to use it at all.

If I've got that right, I'm really impressed with the City of Ruston!
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
City of Ruston kicking in $7 million of the $20 million project.

D80 kicking in the rest!
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
It really is an impressive project for our region. If some of you who arrive Ruston from the west have not seen it, please drive down I-20 to Choudrant and see the new construction. It will make you appreciate even more the amount that is being wasted on the new rest areas being built along our interstate system.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
speaking of that new rest area, did it ever open?

Yes.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Now that this is moving forward, I'll be asking Ronny about putting a red light at Tarbutton and Alabama. That is one of the most dangerous intersections around.

And make changes where 818 and 3012 intersect on Barnett Springs.
Half the problems for both can be solved by clearing trees and correcting the angles they all meet.
