I haven't seem anything negative about Isabella - most all on here think he does a great job

Sean did well and has really been writing great articles about TECH recently.

There's no question that LA Tech has the "hottest property" for a coach in the state of Louisiana. Nobody else comes close.
This quote, in particular, is the one I was referencing. The media in Louisiana broke the story that Mike White was staying -- 12 hours before the media in Tennessee and national media did. I broke that on Twitter, and Sean Isabella followed it up today. There was nothing L-A-Z-Y about it.

A Tennessee radio station contacted Roy Lang asking to interview our beat writer this morning, and Lang sent them Matt Vines... Wut? :rolleyes4:

Isabella is the exception that proves the rule.
If each sportsmedia outlet in N.La (print, broadcast & digital) had just one reporter covering Tech the way Isabella does, the amount of purple seen along I20 would be cut in half by the end of the year, and the injunhawks would be a distant afterthought.

So you are specifically talking about HD...

That's just our resident sports writer critic HD - Dawgpix's prodigy at the Tech Talk...

and there you go....If the area papers would provide a real beat writer that really was allowed to cover the Tech beat the way it deserves to be covered, and establish a real relationship with the coach, he would probably take their call and answer their questions even if he is on vacation.

Except they do. Sean Isabella. He's the Tech beat writer, and a damn fine one. But Mike still didn't take his calls.
Re: Parrish: UT focusing on Mike White for HC vacancy
Isabella is pretty much gold in this area. Does great job.

The great story here is that Mike White didn't take the money and run like SD and Dooley did, but, you won't read that in the Shreveport Times. This is a real rare thing in college sports to find someone that shows this kind of integrity.

The problem with that story is what happens if he then bolts after next season? I don't think this has anything to do with Mike's integrity. He was courted, he listened, he deliberated and after deciding it wasn't the best fit, he stayed for at least one more year.
