It is absolutely critical to win 3 in a row to get to Sunday. 6 games crammed that close is nearly impossible to overcome.
Health wise, it would have been better to lose yesterday. But you can’t deny these guys are busting their tails.
How much more evidence do we need that we don’t have a pitching coach. You have to have 5-6 arms that you KNOW can go out and start a game. We don’t know what we are getting from the same guy in consecutive starts.

From what I have seen, there is no reason to sub Safford back in for Drost. His arm and potential for pop are better. Besides, next season, Drost will be in center and Safford at short. Might as well get used to one or both being out there.

You gotta give it the Dawgs for not quitting. Yeah Tech was overmatched today with a much better rested team, better overall hitting team and a deeper pitching staff, but our Dawgs still game DB their most competitive offensive game. We’ve got a bunch of hard playing dudes. Hopefully we’ll get well rested and heal some wounds by next weekend to give some teams all the baseball they want.
