You are correct. My father has a Browning rifle. Great gun!

The light, import 308's are hot..and I mean smoking. My favorite long rifle round. Like the 223 without the NATO drawbacks.

Not really. I've seen 'em and read the reviews, but don't care for the .32 cal. Would be hard to beat for concealability, tho. You got one ??
Re: Dogtor Evil's Gun Thread
dr. e., have you been to the new gun store on 646 and gulf freeway yet?

I'm thinking about. Also thinking about getting a permit one of these days.
Yeah, the .32 caliber is lightweight but it has 8 rounds and at 9 oz loaded would be a breeze to carry.

I had one and I liked it, but the rimmed cartridge results in too many failures to eject. Plus, .32 ammo isn't any cheaper than .380 ammo. So, I traded up. The p3at is only slightly bigger, but shoots a
much bigger projectile. 102 Remington golden sabers get the job done. I can easily pocket carry mine.
Re: Dogtor Evil's Gun Thread
I am gonna get myself the Sig P238 for Christmas this year. I shot one a few weeks back and it was very stable for a pocket pistol...

Thanks, that's good advice.

Any time. Only thing I'm not fond of is that the slide doesn't lock back on the last shot. I think the Ruger LCP does. Either one can be had for under $300 at budsgnshop.com.
Re: Dogtor Evil's Gun Thread
LCP does not lock back...the similar Taurus does.
Re: Dogtor Evil's Gun Thread
My nephew is graduating high school in May and I am going to get him a good automatic 12ga. Any suggestions, would like to keep it under $1500. He would use it for duck, dove and squirrel. And yes he will be attending Tech in the Fall.

It doesn't matter what you get him as long as it's a Benelli.
Re: Dogtor Evil's Gun Thread
By any chance has anyone heard of a gun maker named Alan Webb near Minden. He had some beautiful mauser based rifles at the gun show in Shreveport. Thinking hard about trading mine in for next season.
