Russian drones struck a Turkish LNG tanker anchored at a port in Ukraine on the Danube River. This port is an important LNG, and O&G terminal. This happened about 48 hours ago and there are still fires burning on the ship. The flames have not reached the LNG storage tanks. If it does, KABOOM! The port and the nearby town will be utterly destroyed. The Danube River is the border between Ukraine and Romania. The Romanians have completely evacuated the small town across the river; all 4,200 residents were ordered out. The river is not wide enough to serve as protection. If that tanker explodes, this Romanian town will get clobbered too.
Turkey is furious with Putin/Russia about this. Russia has not commented at all. Some are saying it was probably an accident, the Russian drone was aimed at the Ukrainian port but missed. Others are saying BS to that. These drones are so scarily accurate that even the Russians can guide one through open doors, windows...and then down the halls inside of buildings. Four of Russians Shahed drones were sent to attack this port. Two were shot down, a third veered away when fired upon and eventually struck a nearby town, taking out an empty commercial building. The one that struck actually flew over the port and went straight into the LNG tanker. Looks very deliberate to those who know. Probably, the Russians knew that even four drones could not do enough damage to the port facility on their own, but detonate the tanker and you have a small A-bomb going off.
