Yes your Rummel grad came through!
Re: Independence Bowl vs Miami
J’Mar was way better than Miami’s starting QB. At least J’Mar was able to connect on some slants. The TD throw was a good play by him too. But then his Mr Hyde showed up and he couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. Overall, glad we didn’t have the Miami QBs on our team.

Woke up today still feeling proud of the team’s bowl win.

Just rewatched the game to see the little things I missed. J’Mar still stunk. At least 6 overthrown balls that I remember and probably more. Allen being ejected was a great example, much line Wade’s hit on Lawrence in the Clemson game, of the need for a change to the targeting rule. True targeting should require the defenseless player component. Otherwise, just call unnecessary roughness and play on.

Allen didn't commit a penalty. He can't control what the offensive player does. Using the screwed up logic of the NCAA, the targeting call could have been on the offensive player.

The way I saw it, he had his eyes down at his shoe tops. If you can’t see the target, and you make contact to the head, the rule will be enforced. I don’t agree with it, but I think the rule currently in place was applied appropriately.
