Did you see the App. St. / Michigan game? Do you think UNT could have beaten App. State or the other top 1AA teams?? I don't. The top of 1AA is better than you think.

O.k then apparently they are better than about 1/2 of the WAC.

Everyone knows the Belch is the worst conference in Division 1 history. Everyone knows that even the best in that God-awful conference would get systematically dismantled by Boise, Hawaii, Fresno, and possibly Nevada. The only teams that the Suck Belch teams could remotely compete with are the teams that left them behind to sit in the @ss-end of the WAC. I don't blame Utah State, New Mexico State, or Idaho for leaving. At least they play in a better conference now.
I think it's funny that these Belch fans insist on making their presence known to you guys. They aren't happy unless La Tech is miserable. It's the biggest case of schadenfreude you ever did see. And as I know personally many of those Belch fans are two-faced anyways. I find it ironic that the same MTSU fans that praised Louisiana Tech's women's basketball team last winter are now laughing at La Tech because they may have things not going their way. Can't be too surprised. I know from personal experience how people at MTSU can pretend to be on your side but would just as soon see you take a walk or die as to be seen in their presence again.
You Belch fans should be ashamed of yourselves! You need to quit worrying about what Louisiana Tech does and worry about why the crap your pathetic league still can't beat a real opponent, why your teams are always getting b!tch-slapped by the FCS McNeese States, SEMO's, Western Kentuckys, and Jacksonville States of the world, why none of your teams can go to a real bowl game, and why none of your teams can't even sniff the Top 25 much less crack it!
Congrats Belch fans on your alternate bowl invitations. I'm sure the whole world is looking forward to watching the SEC #9 seed take on a 6-6 Belch team. It just oozes with excitement! :icon_roll:
And just as you Belch fans are content with mimimal progress from a fat and lazy commissioner, I'm sure the La Tech fans are just as content continuing to strive for excellence in a real conference instead of your league of inbred 1-A wannabes.
Peace out!

Yep. I wouldn't want to play them.

Man. What happened with you and MT? Incidentally, Tech still has season tickets for sale and a great home opener against Ms. State. It can't be too far a drive for you.
Re: Bad News for Tech and Good News for the Sunbelt
One other point, if the Belt is so strong and ULM won: Football (record 5-6), basketball (on the weak side of the belt, S. Alabama pounded you all by over 25 that year, and baseball (loosing most of your later games, Tech destrying you- WHY DID THESE GREAT YEARS DOES ULM NEVER GO TO THE POST SEASON????? Is it so great to post a banner if you are sitting home during the post season? What does that say about your conference???? Just barely a team get's in?

I think maybe you and the other Belch fans are the ones that should be letting it go. La Tech let go some 9 years ago when they bolted for the WAC. They moved on, and so should you.

I am not recruiting La Tech to the Sunbelt. We alreday have two Louisiana teams. I do like to debate this issues with people. I don't know the situation in which you quit being a fan of MT, but I do think it's not healthy to stay mad this long. It will just make you miserable. Peace bro.

Despite the fact I disagree with 80% of what you post on this subject I appreciate you remaining civil. I don't get why the fans from Tech and the other SBC schools can't do the same.
Re: Bad News for Tech and Good News for the Sunbelt
A little embarassed to still be following this thread, but ... I'd also like to take this opportunity to give some props to BRF.
I cant say he's been very effective in making his points, but he has managed to outclass several of our own in presenting them. Reminds me of when some of us had to hold our own a few years back on the CUSA boards.
So kudos and a green dot to BRF for fighting the good fight.
(Maybe I can convince him to vote for Nader.)
Re: Bad News for Tech and Good News for the Sunbelt
What I don't understand is why we are so sensitive about this? It's a conference doing whats best for them, and it won't impact us but for the rare occassion we are on the outside of the WAC bowl picture or at 7-5, 6-6. If we took a poll of how many people like the I-Bowl or would even go it would be heavily against it. The other bowls would be last ditch destinations for us also. (We need to go bowling anywhere, but these options would be very remote for us)
He has been civil and while I agree with Champ, that his posts haven't hit their mark as intended, he is just as passionate about his school and the conference they are in as we are.
The WAC is stronger than the SBC, but the SBC is improving and lets leave it at that until the conferences start meeting on the field, court etc.
Seriously the SBC stuff is getting as bad here as the MWC stuff on the WAC board, and as tiresome as all the ULM and LSU shit that pops up on this board.

Well, I'm not the one with red dots and negative feedback from the fans of this messageboard. You may not be "recruiting" La Tech for the Sun Belt as you call it, but your continued presence on this board with the other Belch fans is proof that you guys insist on being all in La Tech's business. For gosh sakes, the Scum Belch messageboard has FOUR--count 'em! FOUR threads about Louisiana Tech that were posted within the past three days! And there's another that's about the WAC in which La Tech came up in the discussion.
You don't see La Tech fans falling over themselves eager to talk about what Middle Tennessee State is doing right now, do you? In fact, you can take your pick of any of the Belch's worthless members and you won't see these Bulldog fans posting four or five threads about them in a 3-day time span!

Slow down now. Let's not count ULM in that mix.

I have maintained that we have greatly improved over the last two years. I don't know why you are so beligerent in your argument that the WAC is better at the top as of right now. You have no head to head games and no common opponenets and you can't really use wins over BCS teams when you consider who we have to play. We play teams on the level of Oklahoma for almost all of our BCS opponents by playing the SEC every other month (it seems like we play them that often anyway). Also, I never said 2006 was too old to count. You must have misunderstood my post. Your arrognat attitude toward Central Michigan is exactly why you guys aren't making any friends and exactly why you are going to find a lot fo doors closed to you one day. THe WAC has had good wins, the Sunbelt OOC schedule has been more difficult by playing mostly the SEC. You speak of your wins over teams in your own conference with "history" when you know full well that the SUnbelt has no history. All that matters when making comparissons like this is: common opponents and head to head. The rest is just hot air.
Right so head to head and common opponents means you can't say the PAC 10 is better than the belt.
Hot air? I think you're about to float away.
