That's because Dr. Pepper could gag a maggot, it sucks no matter how much sugar is in it or not. Worst excuse for a soft drink!

It would take something absolutely extraordinary to make it into the dawg80 all time bad take top 10. Because that is a seriously competitive field.
But this might be close. Maybe not all the way into the top ten, which again, would be a fiercely high (or low?) bar to clear. But it might be close.

Sugar is poison. So are most (if not all) sugar substitutes.
Saying that, I like pretty much all soft drinks other than Fresca and Pepsi. The 8 ounce cokes in a bottle that had just a small amount of ice build up in them are the best.

It's trickier with a can, but taking a sip and then putting it in the freezer for a few minutes is the best way to prep a coke. Just don't forget it in there (especially if you didn't take that sip first).

I have to disagree with d80, but just in one scenario. If you get a DP made with real cane sugar like they serve in Texas, it is way better than the bottled or tap stuff anywhere else.

Working from home this week. The cat just walked to the bookshelf, pulled off Catch-22 (and only Catch-22) then walked off.
Cats are notoriously into irony and paradox, so I can see it. Also, does have "cat" in the title.
Might consider rearranging the bookshelf to see if she might consider something like Celebration of Discipline or Conspiracy of Kindness next. I really enjoyed Catch-22, but you know, just in case she'd be open to a little edification.

I hate when my kids sit at the supper table and stall until their food is cold and then they don’t want to eat it because it doesn’t taste right.

HAHA! That wouldn't have worked at my house growing up. My dad wouldn't have cared if I ate another bite or not. He always said the same thing about kids and dogs: "If he gets hungry enough, he'll eat." He was right.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
Oh, they eventually eat it, but it’s a battle. It’s just getting old that it’s an issue almost every night.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
i know it's been mentioned before (maybe on this very thread) but the "just in" thread prefix should have an expiration timer.

It is stupid that beach condos give out more parking passes than spaces during the peak season when virtually every unit is occupied by owners or renters. Right now, our unit has more than a dozen vehicles parked haphazardly around the complex because there is no parking.

Any video game that requires, “I can’t just turn it off. I have to do this, and this, and this before I can save my progress.” should be outlawed. I am so sick of my kids not doing what they are told because they haven’t reached a stopping point. We are connecting the Circle Device and app in our home. Sets time limits on any device with a WiFi connection. Ha! Beat that you little 12 year old twerp.

Dude! You are so right! More often than not, when the call comes for dinner, we get the reply "I'll be down in a minute! I can't stop right in the middle of this game!". Glad to know my wife and I are not suffering alone. :)

We get that too and I'm from the era when it really mattered, but I have no patience for it now.

I thought once or twice yesterday about flipping the breaker for just the 12 yr olds room.
