Hope all was/is well. I mean it....
Lets make south of 10, from houston to panama......"mother nature status"
We know its going anyway, so lets clear out, let the animals have it back, let mother nature take over and we can draw new boundries..
Why stop there?
If you truly believe what you're talking about here, noone should live within 50 miles of the coast from Btownsville, TX up throug hjthe northern North Carolina coast.
And since Ike caused more people to die in non-coastal states than in Texas, we probably should move evryone away feom west Texas eastward.
We should also clear out the whole Pacific Coast too, especially anything west of the fault lines. Need to keep tsunamis in mind also.
Also, need to move all those people living in areas that have those wild fores out there.
And then there's the tornado belt. All those people should move too.
And then there's the biggest weather killer, cold. We eed t omove all those people from cold areas to warm areas.
Yep. That'll fix it.

How's that for being a fiscal conservative?
I don't either... What's your point?

Atlantic Hurricane Season Sets Records
November 26, 2008
http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories...aneseason.html
"For the first time on record, six consecutive tropical cyclones (Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike) made landfall on the U.S. mainland and a record three major hurricanes (Gustav, Ike and Paloma) struck Cuba. This is also the first Atlantic season to have a major hurricane (Category 3) form in five consecutive months (July: Bertha, August: Gustav, September: Ike, October: Omar, November: Paloma). "

It's always something, and this something doesn't belong in a thread about global warming. Here's an interesting quote:
"And that repeat-tracking of storms to the same place — and with it increased likelihood of landfall — is typical of years when the hurricane season is on overdrive, like this year.
The 2008 season was busy largely because of the natural cycles of high and low storm activity that last anywhere from 25 to 40 years.
This one started in 1995. Based on the historical record, we're right in the middle of an active era,"
- Gerry Bell, the top hurricane forecaster at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center.
That's from your people, altadawg... NOAA... Even the same guy as quoted in your article.

Thanks for reading. Goal accomplished.
I started this thread. I will post whatever I like.
The water is too warm. After awhile, even people like you(ignorant? in moral denial?) will see that this is not a cylcle.

If I am ignorant, I stand in good company. Specifically Gerry Bell, PhD and the top forecaster at the institution who put out the story you posted.
Do you even realize that? You read, but didn't comprehend, mission NOT accomplished.
Your alarmism is amazing to me. I am a scientist by profession. In this issue, I am interested only in the science. I have never stated that "global warming doesn't exist", that "it is not man made", nor that "it isn't a problem". I can't decide because people are split between alarmists, you, and people who blindly follow Rush Limbaugh. I actually think the alarmists are MUCH, MUCH worse.
BTW - You can post whatever you want to, but the source you posted (Dr. Gerry Bell) has stated (see previous post) that global warming was not a significant factor for this hurricane season. I said it doesn't belong, not that you shouldn't post it. There's a difference, altadawg. You keep posting on "your" thread about the scientific merits of Bill Nye, the Science Guy all you want and on whatever topic you like.

This Thanksgiving we can all be thankful that AGW is going to be given the attention it deserves in the coming years by Congress and the White House.

Yes, let us all give thanks that we have leaders who are more than willing to restrict the freedom of its citizens while not living within those restrictions themselves in order to placate the over-worried masses instead of funding viable research into the matter. Yay America!!!
Re: Global Warming Cont...
Global warming is a farce that enriches the few at the expense of the many.
