A few republicans speaking at the DNC tonight.
Democrats are now saying that Trump is taking up all the mailboxes.
Yep! early in the 2016 Repub primary campaign my top three choices were, in no particular order: Kasich, Rubio, and Cruz. I voted for Cruz in the Louisiana primary, because Rubio had dropped out by then, and Kasich was showing his "crazy" side by then. Kasich has never gotten off that crazy train.
Turns out more than 14K blue boxes were removed during the obummer reign of terror, but it's been part of the USPS plan for decades.
There were 400,000 US Mail blue boxes nationwide in 1985. By 2008 it was down to 176,000, and now there are 141,000. The USPS has only very recently, like beginning in May, started reducing its number again and they cite a drop in usage, probably due to the China Virus. And! in the vast majority of places, they are ONLY removing boxes where there are multiple boxes. A pic taken by a goofy Lefty, in Portland! no surprise there, showed a crew taking up two blue boxes and his pic/Tweet went viral...blaming Trump! ah hah! voter suppression in action! Nope. There were three boxes, and now one, the local USPS office saying one is enough to handle the reduced volume.
But, my favorite viral pic shows hundreds of protestors, protesting IN PERSON, that they can't vote IN PERSON due to the China virus.
Dr. Fauci says it's perfectly safe with proper protocols. Of course it is.
Problem is that you can’t trust Republican governors to provide “proper protocols” in areas with predominant Democrat voters. They do their best to suppress the vote in these areas, historically.
Because we all know that predominant Democrat voters are TOO STUPID!!!!!! to figure it out for themselves, er, right?
Let's see, you white libs say minorities are incapable of securing ID...guess they are too stupid for that. Now, you add that " in areas of predominant Democrat voters" code word for blacks, are too stupid to apply simple measures they use at Walmart...wear a mask, distancing, etc... Nope! if Repub governors don't take them by the hand and lead them, there is no way that such voters are capable of employing proper protocols. Got it.
:icon_roll:
Oh, and such matters are really controlled by local Office of Voter Registrar in conjunction with the Clerk of Court Office. For instance, here two polling places were moved to other locations due to circumstances that made the regular polling places for those precincts unusable in the recent election. Didn't take the governor, the POTUS, or you Goosey, to make it happen. The Clerk did NOT ask anyone's permission, other than speaking with the owners of the temporary buildings to serve as polling locations. duh! So...the proper protocols Dr. Fauci is referring to is, and should be, the responsibility of local election officials...and of course voters themselves. In Louisiana I will guess that 90% of such local election officials are Democrats.
But, carry on with more of your silly lies...
In Georgia, it is the Secretary of State that oversees all election activities in the state - apparently even when the Secretary of State is running for governor in the election.

Numbers are not that great for 1st night of DNC.. way down from 2016, even with Michelle O and Bernie giving taped speeches. Oh and Donna Brazille was fit to be tied because Michelle never once mentioned Kamala..
Expect none of the major news outlets to cover this poor showing..
quote:
The common hour-plus of coverage starting at 10 p.m. ET averaged 18.68 million viewers on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. That's down about 28 percent compared to the opening night of the 2016 Democratic convention.
The broadcast networks suffered the biggest drops: ABC, CBS, NBC combined for about 6.7 million viewers at 10 p.m., off by 42 percent from the 11.6 million who tuned in four years ago. ABC led the trio with 2.44 million viewers, followed by NBC (2.28 million) and CBS (1.99 million).
Cable news made up some of the difference, with MSNBC leading the 10 p.m. ET hour with 5.1 million viewers. CNN averaged 4.78 million and Fox News 2.1 million. The combined 11.98 million viewers was off by 16 percent from 2016.
Of course the Office of Secretary of State oversees all elections...here too. But, it still falls to individual election officials in each parish to manage their polling sites. And that is what we're talking about re: concerns over China virus, the actual polling places. If necessary there are school gyms that can serve for polling locations such that people can social distance easily.
We all know there are tens of thousands of mail-in votes marked for Biden stored in warehouses, with the whole Dem ticket checked, ready to be harvested for weeks after November 3rd. Frank Luntz just said as much. He expects Trump to "win" on November 3rd and then fake ballots start trickling in in key states/precincts to flip the results. The Dems did that in '18 and stole dozens of House seats.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ajc...outputType=amp
You may have missed the fact that they had to keep some polling places open past the designated time in areas around Atlanta because people were still waiting in long lines.
You may also have missed in 2018 when Kemp was running for Governor (while also running the elections as Secretary of State) he wrongly purged over 300k voters as being ineligible.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...ion-brian-kemp
Kemp also was slow in processing over 50k voter registrations without providing notice of the delay.
https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...-voting-rights
These tactics disproportionately hit black communities. Kemp beat Abrams by less than a percent of the vote.
Georgia is a mess when it comes to running elections, but that helps it remain a red state so they won’t fix it.
Yes, I remember McCain's talking points. Do you?
Of course Trump is not the GOP.
He hated Trump. He flew to Russia on the tax payers dime in an attempt to confirm that stupid dossier. There are tons of liberal news links confirming his hate. Here's one of the early ones...
https://www.cnn.com/2016/12/30/polit...ing/index.html
Just saw a blurb on a recent poll stating that of those saying they are supporting Trump, 74% are voting FOR him, and only 24% say their vote is an anti-Biden vote. That makes some sense. True Americans are lining up behind our gallant president in his re-election bid because of all the great things he has done, and will do, for we true Americans. I think that most of that 24% is really an anti-radical agenda vote, not so much aimed at Joe Biden himself. I am hearing from life long Democrats a fear of a Biden presidency because it won't be Biden's but rather Crazy Bernie's and AOC's presidency.
I have posted before, Biden would have beaten Trump in 2016, and probably rather easily. But, Trump picked up a sizable anti-Killary vote that made the difference. In 2020, a lot has changed. Trump has a proven successful record and Biden, as just mentioned, is seen as a mere puppet. The pathetic anti-Trump vote will be a very small, insignificant protest vote by displaced Swampers and sore-losers (Kasich et al).
So I've only looked at the Vox article (sorry, the below is from the Guardian not Vox) so far, Vox is of course a very middle of the road media publisher . So the article states:
"Under Georgia procedures, registered voters who have not cast ballots for three years are sent a notice asking them to confirm they still live at their address. If they don’t return it, they are marked inactive. If they don’t vote for two more general elections after that, they are removed from the rolls."
In the remainder of the article the 'investigative' reporting reveals that '334,134 of those citizens actually still live at the address they registered'. However, it doesn't address if they had cast a ballot in 3+ years or whether they received and returned the notice. Of course, the notice either when sent by the state or returned by the respondent could have gotten lost in the mail (the same organization we want to trust mail-in voting). Or perhaps some of Kemp's stooges threw them in the trash.
I'll try and take a look at the others in between work tasks.
My wife and I were talking about upcoming election last night. We were discussing Trump and she had a good question. Why is Trump doing this if not that he really cares about the US and what he is doing. He already had world wide fame and notoriety before he was elected. He had more wealth than a lot of DC combined, and could not be bought by special interest groups. Some could argue that it was his ego, that he wanted to be POTUS.. for argument's sake, say that is true.. he has checked that box.. why run for a second term? Why put yourself through all of the crap from the MSM that Trump has had to endure for the past 3 years. He could leave office, and make millions more as a private citizen again just the mere fact that he has been POTUS, just like his predecessors have done. Why go through all of this?
When money no longer satisfies you, that is what people usually turn to next.
As you stated, "he really cares about the US" and fact he loves America deeply and will continue to MAKE IT GREAT and hold off the socialist/Marxist ideology and violent attempts of the Democrats.
Just wait until this election is over with a TRUMP Victory. It will be war against the evils of socialism, Antifa, BLM terrorist (not all are terrorist obviously) , marxist and other terror groups wagging violence on our police forces and other innocent population across our country. And you will see the Deep State characters in jail. This is why the leftist swamp is insanely scrambling and losing the minds telling lies and creating havoc on the east and west coast. The community organizers Obama's , Clinton's, Maxine waters, The squad and socialist/commie Sanders are behind all of this.
I find it hard to imagine why anyone, right or left, would want that job. I imagine it's the power, but I suppose there could be some "I'm the one best equipped to do the most good" thinking in there (across the board).
I don't know the man, but does President Trump really come across to you as a big sacrifice himself for the people kind of guy? Do you see that in the things he says or the way he says them or in his actions?
I guess it's possible that he really thinks that he's the one that can best lead us and therefore is obliged out of duty to "make America great again" or something. But, I think it's probably the power (and attention).
I understand what you are saying, but then why put up with all of the BS from the media, Congress, etc. The only possible thing I could have thought of was ego.. but he can check that box now.. Power trip? maybe.. but it is only temporary (8 years max).. then what. Former POTUS guys usually just fade away.. they don't have the power that came from the office once they leave.
I think for many people (at the peaks of power or at the very bottom of the food chain) the ego's appetite always wants more. I'm not sure that's a box you can check and be done with.
I also always wonder (not just about him) but how much people at those levels really see and absorb criticisms. He seems to have pretty thin skin and will occasionally respond but for the most part I question how much of that really makes its way into his orbit.
I would hate to have half the country hate my guts (just as the other half did for Obama and will for Biden) regardless of what I did or said. That would drive me crazy. But I am just not sure that the type of person who runs for president doesn't think that the trade-off of having all that power and prestige and the adoration of the other half of the country isn't worth it. I don't think it would be for me, but then again, I haven't tasted it.
Wow last night's viewership (night 2) of DNC convention was down almost 50% from 2016 (48%). There doesn't seem to be any excitement surrounding the democrats this convention cycle. It will be interesting to see how the RNC ratings are.
Kinda sorta. Copied and pasted the below from Mayo; I assume it’s the from the latest DSM.

Turner Classic Movies are much more entertaining than the dumborats convention...
I would literally rather watch paint dry than one minute of either party's convention. Has a single person in history changed their vote or been convinced to go vote rather than stay home due to watching a party convention on tv? If so, is that person qualified to vote?
I've been watching both conventions since 1980...got ya by 20 years on the whole abnormal thing. As I have mentioned I like the whole POTUS campaign process. From the Iowa Caucus thru the primaries. This year has been a huge disappointment, interrupted by the China virus. Chances are it has changed the process going forward. For instance, the conventions might be more "distance" oriented even after the virus is no longer a threat.
Over the decades the conventions have gradually been less and less important. There was a time when they meant everything and in smoke-filled rooms, behind closed doors, deals were struck. For instance, the way Truman was selected to replace Henry Wallace as FDR's VP running mate in 1944 because the Dems knew Roosevelt was not likely to survive his 4th term, and they did not want Wallace to become POTUS. Truman did not seek the role, but was drafted at the convention and at first resisted...out of respect for Wallace who had been dutifully serving as FDR's VP for years.
Yes, now, they are just propaganda shows (circuses) because the two major parties have a monopoly on national politics.
Sick.
This explains so much. ;)
I hate every minute of it - if it were up to me they'd send out a paper listing the candidates and their positions on key policies with maybe a brief general governing philosophy and resume/CV the week before the elections (or primaries). Maybe some links to speeches for those who want to see how they speak/look. Then we all vote based on their positions after just enough time for vetting (from whatever news source you trust I guess). Personally I'd skip debates, but if that's important to enough people you can have one on the day the position statements are issued. Election season would last 7 days. No ads. No canvassing. No conventions. No fundraising. Just here are your options, here's what they've done, here's what they say about X, Y, and Z. I guess that's more or less how lower levels tend to operate. If it's good enough for city dog-catcher it's good enough for chief executive.
Debates!
They call them debates, but they are really just events where one candidate tries to "look" better on camera than the other. Been that way since the serial womanizer with the eternal flame won the presidency by looking smooth while Nixon sweated. Maybe we should elect the makeup guy.
You have "won" the debate when you have looked more commanding on stage, even if your policies were recognized as being horrible for the nation. If you have enough one liners, you win. I'd hate to think anyone changes their vote because of these things, but I know they do (so and so really kicked the other guy's butt in the debate, so I am voting for him).
Sometimes if you just do a little better than expected you win, even if you lose. Unfortunately these things have nothing to do with policy.
And this is why we need more Trumps running for POTUS. Puts more pizazz in the process! I mentioned a while back, probably over a year ago, I was "trapped" in a car with 4 VERY, VERY liberal women, driving to New Orleans for a conference. 4 1/2 hrs...ugh! But, what I did find interesting was their take on the "Trump phenomenon." While they did not care for his polices :shocked2: they did like his outsider status and how he riled up the old establishment. I suppose Crazy Bernie is the left's version of Trump, although Sanders has been a sitting senator for some time and is not truly an outsider. One of the ladies said, she hoped Trump would not ruin it for future outsiders to run for POTUS. Of course as a lib she sees it as "ruining" but at least she, and the others, lean to supporting outsiders. I have always said, and still maintain, that to get the Swamp completely drained will require the effort coming from both directions. In a way, the rejection of Krooked Killary, by many on the Left, who abandoned her in 2016, is a measure of this.
Looking forward to the 2024 Iowa Caucus when I hope things are back to "normal" for we "abnormal" folks.
While the deep state is a tinfoil hat propaganda/marketing tool, term limits would make sure the "swamp" was routinely getting a lot of fresh water.
This ... and personally, I wish the state senates voted for president and supplied their electors as each state saw fit. It would make the executive serve at the whim of the states and it would remove the polarizing zeal that Americans have for national "issues" over local policy. We would be forced to care who our elected representatives actually are because it would be how a president got selected. Of course, none of that makes cable news a viable enterprise and sells ad money for beer, shampoo and paranoia accessories
We should care far more for our local elections than the one that happens in Washington every 4 years and the mid-term adjustment that is almost always necessary when the party in control presumes a "voter mandate" and overreaches on their agenda.
The way Americans treat our presidential elections you would think we are electing a king.
The Dems are saying the pledge, but leaving out "under God." Hmmm...
The Church Lady would say, "How convenient! Who made you leave out those two words? Oh, I dunno, could it be....Satan!"
I agree with the term limits thing. Large cuts in pay would help, too. Makes me sick to hear someone that has parlayed a "career" in a legislative body into being a multi-millionaire speak of the "hardships" of public "service". Makes me wanna PUKE.
I disagree about the deep state thing. I remember some sociological theory that stated no matter what an organization was set up to accomplish, it will eventually take on the task of preserving that very organization as its primary goal, and the organization will devolve into an oligarchy whose leaders will use the organization to pursue their own interests (which include preserving the organization that gives them their power). Makes perfect sense to me, and why these bureaucracies don't seem to be working for America much of the time.
Now that the dumbcraps dog & pony show is over, i am reminded of the joe mccarthy hearings in th early fifties. He was trying to root
out the communists in hollywood. Of late, he has been refered to as himself being unamerican by some members of congress. It seems , now, that ole joe was not too far from being right. In our past history there have been quite a number of communists in in our
government, especially prior to wwii.
Biden will not win election with his position of eliminating school choice day 1 of his Presidency when 89% of Black voters support school choice.
American families strongly support school choice. Educators should listen to them.
Working families are out front on big, structural change for our education systems while political will and policy imagination are lagging
Christopher N. Ruszkowski
Opinion contributor
Survey after survey shows bipartisan public support for school choice policies, notably among families with the most at stake in our education system. And while some fellow educators and I may still have reservations about nontraditional choice ideas, we have a responsibility to listen to what many families and communities are saying.
According to a survey of likely 2020 voters, Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) found that 81% of voters — including 81% of Democratic primary voters and 89% of black Democratic primary voters — support expanding “access to more choices and options within the public school system, including magnet schools, career academies and public charter schools.”
This was posted on another political forum I follow, thought it was very enlightening about current happenings:
Me, a black man&father, is currently arguing with a white liberal about school choice.
I sh*t you not. A white liberal is telling a black father that school choice is wrong, is only supported by white racist, segregationist, and wealthy white men. I sent him the article about 89% of Black Democrats supporting school choice. LINK
For one, when 89% of the voting block you need to win the election, is saying they want school choice, and your stance is to end school choice on Day 1, in a time where your party is wearing Kente Cloth and screaming black lives matter, that shows me all I need to #WalkAway and never look back. That’s such a slap in the face to black people. I wish this would get out more.
Crazy to me that a white man feels he knows best about the plight of the black man. Absolutely disgusting and sickening.
Hello black man, you want a better education for your child without having to come up with the means to move to a better district because you yourself are a failure of the public school system, but you desperately want to you know, the thing,( https://imgz-fandroppingsllc.netdna-...ns/IconLOL.gif) give your children a chance at the American dream through better education. Nah, we can’t have that. Let your child rot in the inner city public schools!! Ruin another generation of potential black excellence by tying their education to their zip code.
Sh*t like this makes it easy af for me to fing #WalkAway. F*** white liberals and their racist ideas that they know what’s better for black people than black people.
Don Lemón: Rioting has to stop because it's showing up in polling
quote:
The riots need to stop because “it’s showing up in polling, it’s showing up in focus groups, it’s the only thing right now that’s sticking
That's all CNN and MSM is worried about. They don't give a rat's ass about who is shooting whom, or what businesses are burned.. peoples lives impacted.. All they care about is getting Trump out of office. They are out in the open about this, and the American people know it.
Hmmm...that's a good point. Okay, I retract what I just posted on another thread about going on the offensive. Everyone has a right to defend themselves, and their property, just like Madam Beetlejuice, Mayor of Chicago, but be very careful and use only as much force as is necessary.
Wait to Trump is re-elected...

Man...the Laura Ingraham interview from last night was amazing. She kept trying to help him out, but even her sycophantic skills were stretched beyond their limits.
I was ready to vote for Amash...he dropped out. I haven’t decided on Third Party or Biden for 2020 yet.
In other news: https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/...mpression=true
OMG! how is it you continue to be so stupid? No one needs the Russians to tell anyone how mentally incapacitated Biden is. You have only to watch his bumbling, stumbling over words, his forgetfulness, to see for yourself.
Yeah, I know, millions of voters will vote for Trump and/or not vote for Biden ONLY because some Russian operative told them so...
STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID!!
You missed the point...as usual
Ah...let me see...."the point" is the left is preparing another excuse/reason to investigate the 2020 results after Trump wins. Blame the rooskies! Biden didn't lose, Trump didn't win, the rooskies mailed in millions of fake ballots to steal election for Trump. The Dems will convene a Congressional hearing where we'll see one idiot after the other claim they warned us about mail-in ballot fraud, how the Dems were against it, but Trump fixed the system just so the rooskies could aid him in the election. THEN!! fools like you will link articles that echo the false narrative that the Dems were against mail-in ballots from the beginning.
No? Well, obviously you didn't watch the recent witch trial aka the Congressional testimony of AG Barr, where one Dem after the other screamed at him "it is NOT possible for a foreign nation to tamper with our elections!" All of that a set-up to deflect the real fraud that WILL happen in favor of Biden.
I know it's hard for you to keep up, so I will summarize it for you:
1. If Trump wins it was because Russia tampered with the election, doing exactly what the Dems shouted at Barr saying could NOT be done.
2. If Biden wins, even with many hundreds of thousands of "harvested" ballots trickling in weeks after November 3rd, it's because voters wanted a change. Nothing to see here...
Known in your proud boys weekly meeting? Glad you guys are thinking of me.
I guess you’re too dense to see that YOU already made the exact same argument FOR Trump that 80 just said Biden was using. No surprise there.
80 still missed the point. Maybe the third time will be the charm.
You are stupidly hilarious, johnny boy!
The article clearly states that both China and Iran are actively engaged in a smear campaign to unseat Trump, who has been very tough on them. It mentions some supposed activity by Russia too, but Trump has been tougher on them than obummer/biden were and so the rooskies have every reason to see Biden elected as well.
Still, no matter the motivation and tactics of any foreign nation we just saw in that Congressional hearing Dems SCREAMING "there is no way any foreign nation can interfere in our elections!" Okay, you say, that points directly at the voting process, not PR campaigns, etc... Okay...tell me what any foreign operative could say, post that is not already being said by both campaigns, and their surrogates, about each other. The Dems/left have been attacking Trump for years with all kinds of fake news and accusations. And Trump has been fighting back with an array of rhetoric challenging the Left's motives and Biden's capacity to serve as POTUS. PLEASE tell me what a Russian operative could add to the already hostile campaign atmosphere that will sway millions of voters. Please...tell me.
I'll wait....
Just as I thought, you have nothing!
