Yes. This one fell out to me as:
Rubio
Carley
Trump
Cruz

I still don't get the Trump love. He sounds like a 13 year old kid to me. He could do what he's doing (insult everybody's appearances and past) without being leader of the free world. I'm fine with him just having his own political talk show.
Me neither. Picking on Rand Paul, while slightly funny, was totally pointless. He's polling at 1%, concentrate your efforts elsewhere. He looked like a buffoon. I predict, however, that it won't hurt his poll numbers. I haven't watched the last hour of the debate, but I thought Cruz (who I agree with quite a bit) came off as way too scripted. That has been Rubio in the past, but I think he did really well yesterday. I thought Christie presented himself better this go round, but he still isn't very compelling. Carson didn't hurt himself, but he didn't do himself any favors either. I actually thought Bush did well last night (unless he gaffed in the last hour). He still looks like he can't believe he's on the stage with Donald Trump (I can't believe it myself).
I'd like to see them cut the dead weight.
Fiorina
Rubio
Bush
Carson
Trump
Would be my group going forward. If it has to expand to 6, I'd put Cruz up there, but I think he's lagging behind those five.
You don't have to watch the last hour, it was just silliness (What would your presidential code name be? What woman would you put on the $10 bill? Reagan changed the world, what will the world look like when you're gone?)
About Jeb, I thought Trump made him look like a Beta male. He basically made him shut up and then allowed him to talk when Trump was ready for him to talk. It is kind of weird seeing the bully debate the intellectual and actually winning.
I'd probably put quotation marks around debate...for all of them really. The talking heads seem to think that Jeb is trying to look "presidential" and not getting into the verbal back and forth like the others. He's got the money and the infrastructure to stick around as long as he wants. I think that's his game. He's trying to be "above" the fray (unless his wife or brother are mentioned). We'll see how it works out.
I think Bush has a lot of RINO tendencies, but I'd take just about anybody on the stage over Trump (might take Trump over Christie).
True, it's not really a debate. But Trump tries to dominate Bush and make him look weak and I think it's effective. Do we want a weak president when dealing with Iran and Russia or do we want someone who will tell them to shut up and sit down? Probably neither.
I thought bashing W like he did may have exposed Trump as the Democrat he was back then, but at this point, it's going to take a HUGE gaffe to turn people away. Republicans had some complaints with W, but we generally thought he was very good man who was giving it his all. Trump spoke of him like Obama/Hillary speak of him.
What's the deal with Jindal? He sounds like a great candidate.. up there with Cruz/Rubio. It seems like he is despised by Republicans and Democrats in Louisiana though. What's wrong with him?
Trump is a bully and shows extreme signs of testosterone poisoning. Although he has been great for the campaign, I can't imagine people really wanting to vote for this classless jerk. I did enjoy the jab Trump had about Bush and common core- which I agree is totally insane. I don't know who I would want to vote for at this time. I liked things that several had to say including Trump. I still like Cruz but don't think he can win. Fiorina handles herself well, and I like Carson. The bonus all of them have is that none can be more destructive than the current president, but, that doesn't say much.
I'll say again. Things can't be any worse with Trump. I'm SICK of politicians. I'd take Cruse or Huck
People used to say that with Bush-oh were they wrong! Trump would be dreadful-but entertaining for the election process. Anyone that needs to talk about someone being fat or ugly is going to have difficulty. His tweet regarding M Kelly being a bimbo was not very presidential as well.
My mother is in town visiting and she voted for him twice because she said there was no one else to vote for, but she's not a fan. She says he is a great orator, like Obama, but can't get anything done. As soon as she said that, Jindal said, "I'm a doer, not a talker." :)
