What is Sarks career W-L record? 47-35 with a 2-2 bowl record. Seems like he’s ready for a 5+million dollar contract with a hefty buyout. Must be nice to have money to burn.

Plus....
...he got fired from USC for drinking on the job.
...he got drunk, and "gave a drunken and profanity laced speech at a school booster event".
...he sued his employer.
Nothing to see here, folks. No worries....what could possibly go wrong? (The last time I used that line, LA Tech hired Tyler Summit to lead the Lady Techsters...LOL!)
The last time we hired a head football coach we hired a guy with a worse winning percentage with a worse bowl record. Plus he had just got himself fired after a 3-9 season. He was also once demoted by his own father. You cannot make this stuff up. Of course we saved a lot of money, in the short term. But what has that savings cost us in the long term?
One think Sark will never do is win six bowls games in a row played on or before December 26th. If they don't play a New Years Day game by year two he will be on the hot seat.
Hiring him didn't really save us any money. We shifted the savings over to our MBB coach which was not a good deal for us since we had no chance of keeping him anyway.
Never should have given Dykes a raise in 2011.
In a world where mediocrity is the norm, easily accepted and most often praised, Where looking the other way when you see something isn’t right is the recommended thing to do, Where when confronted with criticism you just ignore it, And where it’s easier to redirect trouble and point fingers elsewhere instead of addressing it. Holtz may very well be able to ride out his Tech tenure until his exhalations have old age dust in them like famed Rice baseball coach Graham who didn’t retire until he was 82.
Greater fund raising?
Skip legend?
A legend for winning six participtation trophy bowl games in a row. I assumed he was joking, maybe he was serious. It is actually good we got our butts kicked in the participation trophy bowl game this year. If that is what some thinks makes Skip a legend (just typing that feels so strange) then that worthless streak being over brings us a little closer to an honest evaluation of Skip. Once someone makes an honest evaluation of his results, he won't be thought of as a legend.
It looks like the governor of West Virginia (a Marshall grad) has fired Doc Holliday. Another coach being fired who accomplished much more than Skip.
By the way he was CUSA coach of the year this season.
NFL jobs open:
Houston
Atlanta
Detroit
NY Jets
Jacksonville
LA Chargers
Three teams: Jacksonville, NY Jets and Detroit are at least expected to think about hiring a college coach so more musical chairs is possible.
......Noooooooooowwwwww it's starting to resonate with a few of you.
The answer to your question is "Yes", and the record shows that Doc Holliday OWNED Skip Holtz in 3 direct head-to-head meetings with Skip, including this year, in Ruston. Of course, while Marshall fans demand more, Tech fans don't --and won't-- register a pulse.
As long as we do better than Northeast, our leaders are happy and can blow smoke to those who give the big bucks.
