Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
You can typically determine the purpose of any random object by identifying the inputs, outputs and wastes. For example, an object with the inputs of electricity and tomatos, salt, peppers, and cilatro, and the outputs of salsa (with pre-separated waste) could be easily identified upon inspection with the purpose of nearly liquifying and mixing ingredients (ie a blender). This said, I have the answer to one of the most spoken questions of all time. I understand man's purpose in life.
With the inputs of organic matter and water and the obvious wastes, we can identify the output as hair. That's the answer we've been seeking. The purpose of the human race is to produce hair.
My second question will be, "why does God want all of this hair?"

These people are COMPLETELY bald? I've never seen anyone without any hair at all. How does that happen? Sure, lots of people lose the hair on their head, but if you've got a receding arm hair line, let me know.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
OK, just trying to clarify. No my hairline is just fine.

Is anyone on here 6Sigma certified? I'm beginning work on getting my Green Belt. I understand the benefits of the certification; however, I do not understand how this applies to me.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
Anyone else love the Coors Light "Press Conference" commercials? The new one with Denny Green is really great.
"High. Performance. Helicopter."
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
The goings on at Tech remind me of Mr. Bob Dylan, and the greatest song of all time:
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.
Appropriate, huh?

A few of my professors read this board. To all of them that are reading this thread, this is what you sounded like all those times I had to go to class.

Well clearly this doesn't apply to me because I taught you statics and strengths and "hydrocopic marzelvanes" are only covered in thermo and "drawn reciprocation dingle arms" are clearly a machine design topic.
You should try the view from our side :rolleyes4:

For real. That's why I require presentations in any course that can support it (unfortunately 100-level courses with 150 people aren't real conducive to that).

Anybody else find the Heinekin mini keg commercials with the robot chicks disturbing?
