Happy Free Comic Book Day to all who celebrate.
Depending on the Mom, you might be able to knock out your Mother's Day shopping at the same time (this will not work for me, but in theory it might for some).

When a client is told that our office is at least 10-15 business days out on any project, it doesn’t make things go any faster if the client calls twice a day starting at day 6.

Students can never realize that this approach is actually counter-productive. While I'm talking to you about it, I'm not working on the thing in front of you in the queue. You want it done sooner, let me work on it.

related: manager notices that a project is behind schedule and starts holding daily meetings with the entire project team to ensure it's getting the proper priority.

Well, how can they ensure that we are working hard without daily 2-hour project planning meetings?

I get when a supervisor asks you where you are on certain priority projects. But a 2 minute meeting on Monday at 7:30 while you pour your coffee should be sufficient.

It's pretty cool to live in a time when something like this is possible:

I mean, I guess in the olden times a friend or someone could have read it for her (but if you went very far back, she's probably not in college to begin with).

inudesu thank you for that post. Her comments definitely DO warrant a thread!

Guess this can go here...
My twins graduate from Ruston High tonight! One will continue her education at Tech and the other will continue his while running track on scholarship Waaaay up north at a JUCO in Kansas. :) Even with TOPS & scholarships, getting an undergrad is expensive. Especially with twins.

Congratulations! Our 5th Tech grad is walking on Saturday. Lots of great scholarships available. Not all required a high 3.0+ average…thank goodness!

With 5 y'all ought to have a whole stretch of bricks. If they didn't do them by year, you'd have a whole row.

My youngest played his first tball game today (5-6 year olds) and the other team had walk up music.
