2016 Presidential Campaign

Trump isn't likely to listen to me, but I think he's staring at a golden opportunity right now.

Nothing shines a light on liberal silliness like their reaction to terrorist attacks. The media was falling all over themselves to highlight that we don't know the motives...yada yada yada.

Typically, Trump would react with hyperbolic statements that result in great media coverage. If he REALLY wants to win, he should use this opportunity to move BEYOND HRC. Make a simple statement that says he's decided that she's too out of touch to respond to or something like that, then go forward to paint a picture of what the country will be under his leadership.

This would mean he'd have to get specific (which he hasn't done yet). It would also mean that he would need to articulate the benefits of his perspective to folks other than his base. Everybody who hates the system and hates HRC and wants to blow everything up is already voting for him...no need to stoke those fires. Show the disenfranchised how he's going to bring them back to the table. Make a case to millennials that conservative tax policy is good for everybody. If he insists on his foolish trade policies, he should paint the picture of an America where we make things here (he'll have to respond to HRC's retort that those things will be much more expensive...if he does a good enough job on the front end, it won't matter).

Long and short of it, paint a positive picture of what a Great America looks like.

I might even consider supporting that...if he could articulate it.

Absolutely right. If he could present a cool, collected, and direct message that proves he can be specific and also proves he isn't certifiable it would be ideal.

That would separate him from HRC without having to address her or her nonsense directly.

He's been better lately, or I've just quit paying attention. Roger Ailes is probably telling him to shut up and just be the alternative to a worse candidate than him.

It was that, and an attempt for Cruz to win back favor with the conservative side of the repub party, that got him elected to senator.

Yep. There's never been a conservative faction of any significant size in the GOP in the modern era. This cycle has proven that.

Here's how I see it, this "revolutionary" side IS the conservative side. It's the Tea Party and Reaganites who believe in true conservative principals. The others are the "establishment" side, which is nothing more than democrap light.

So, as I said, Cruz won the senate seat because of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin's endorsement, i.e. the "conservative" portion of the Repub party. And, if he hopes to be reelected, he has to stay on their good side. Because they are supporting Trump!

Tea Party, conservatism, Cruz-types stand on the Constitution. I'm one of those types and I don't feel like anyone in the race is Pro-Constitution. Trump is Pro America, so 8 years of Obama probably explains why that appeals to so many voters.
