Tough Trump showed up tonight and reminded America how corrupt and worthless she is. I don't think he rised, but I do think he brought her back down to his level.
He kicked her behind tonight. There is no two ways about it.
Trump won tonite.
You all know I scored the first debate, like a football game as KKK 42 Trump 27, because I call it the way I see it.
Tonite, it was Trump 56 KKK 35. Higher scoring game, more punches landed by both sides, i.e. more offense. But, Trump was on the attack and was throwing bombs all night long.
Trump still probably won't win the election, but his campaign is still alive after tonite, when it could have been over.
It is OVER, my friend.
If it is over then this country as we have known it is dead. Single payer health care, taxation of company contributions to 401K's, liberal supreme court for next 30 years, and total nanny state.
So, as I said, the campaign is alive. If Trump wins the 3rd debate, in a couple of weeks, then this will go down to the wire and make election night "interesting." Well, and of course, two other things have to happen:
1. Trump needs to stay away from gaffes, and just focus on the issues. Hammer home 3 or 4 key issues: the economy, security, obummercare, and defeating terrorism. And! no more "October surprises."
2. More truth has to come out about KKK. More WikiLeaks. I doubt she'll make a gaffe while on the stump, she's too seasoned of a politician to make unforced errors.
If all this happens, the polls will tighten.
Can Trump win?
Since I don't believe in saying "never," I will say, yeah, he can. But!!! he has to hit some homers.
1. He has to win Florida and North Carolina.
2. He has to win Ohio and one other Midwestern state(Iowa is in play). To do that will require hammering home the loss of jobs in manufacturing.
In 2012 obummer won Iowa, Ohio, and Florida. Those 3 states have 53 EC votes. If Trumps wins the same states that Romney won, and flips just those three states, Trump gets to 259. So he needs 11 more. New Hampshire is possible (4 votes), Nevada is possible (6 votes). OMG! one short.
Other states of interest and possibilities. In 2012 obummer won Virginia, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Wisconsin but all four were competitive. Romney was in those races to the very end. So, can Trump get one of those to flip?
As sad as it might be, Trump needs to become a politician until election day. Go into these critical states and promise the effing world!!! Tell the voters what they want to hear. If he does...he has a puncher's chance, as they say in boxing.
I thought no Republican could have won. Now I'm really confused.
Well, first just to clarify, I am playing the game of IF Trump can win....how? Which states offer even a remote possibility? The deck is stacked against him, as it is against any non-democrapic candidate.
This is akin to asking: can Tech beat a Bama? a Ohio State? a Michigan? The answer would be "yes," but....then you'd have to list all kinds of things that would have to happen. Like the other teams helping with turnovers, Tech hitting some big plays, probably scoring a defensive TD, and playing mistake-free football.
That's all I did with that post. It's a long-shot, but hey, who knows?
Now, the other point. Trump is not a "Republican" candidate. I heard a comment from some talking-head on TV, can't remember who said it, one of the FOX contributors, but it went something like this:
All these establishment Repubs wanting Trump to "drop out" fail to realize that Trump never "dropped in" with them!
That statement sums it up perfectly. And that is why, and the only reason why, Trump has a puncher's chance. No other Repub could have beaten KKK. Rubio, Kasich, and probably Cruz too, would have made it a race. But in the end their EC results would have been like Romney's, who lost 332 to 206.
Trump's numbers improve every time some establishment Repub goes off on "not supporting Trump." This means he is picking up some of the indy voters. They view it this way, if the old guard Repub establishment is anti-Trump, then he is worth taking a look at.
And to confuse you some more...because I figure it will...the ONLY reason Trump has a chance is because KKK is a horrific, disgusting person and is the weakest democrap candidate in our lifetime, and probably ever! If the demos had put up a decent candidate (for them...) this never would have been a race.
I see. Candidate doesn't mean candidate anymore.
I keep hearing about these independents that are going to support Trump, but I never see any numbers to back up those claims. McCain and Romney were running against one of the most popular candidates of all time. Either one would be stomping Hillary right now. Trump is totally inept at taking advantage of her weakness. He was the perfect plant because there is so much material. Every time Hillary has an issue, she can release a Trump video or speech that immediately takes the focus off of her.
He'll never move beyond his base and those who've decided they have to hold their nose and vote for him. That's a sub-90% number of registered republicans. He's toast. Why is he here? You don't have to adopt my theory about HRC placing him the race. It's clear that the Fox News crowd wanted a candidate that would say the things to HRC that they've wanted to say to her. Trump has certainly done that. The irony is that this catharsis candidate will cost the GOP the White House...and maybe it's very existence.
